The fact is that E65 is NOT that good after you have it for a few time. The back cover starts peeling, the front fascia is EXTREMELY scratching prone and the keypad starts emitting cracking sounds. But I agree with you about the E61. Thatīs rock hard! Should Nokia use the same design team that made this wonder to make every other phone of theirs, not that one designed the N76 and alikes!
About the w300i, I can assure you: it has fallen many times over that hard metal bus floor, and didnīt get ANY scratch, not a single, continued working perfectly. It only got a scratch after falling over a rock (I have it for over one year and use it extensively). And the k300i has fallen over my home stairs, that are made of cement, and just got some few scratches. W300i plastic has a really cheap touch, but is much more wear and tear resistant than some newer Nokias. The E65 I saw was from a girl, that puts the cell phone inside some sort of sock to avoid scratching. She complained very much about the peeling and scratching, saying that even using the sock, the phone stills get scratched. She had also have the 6131,that went for the very same problem. Iīm not a SE fanboy, the phone I would like to buy the most these days is the Nokia N95. But I canīt stand paying so much for a phone that is not as proportionally that well built and lasting. Look at SE and HTC smartphones. Nokia should use them as models for a better building quality.
The phone will take time to release & it will be very expensive also, but its a gud phone wiz many specifications.
ya i agree wat u say, im use to be one of the SE fan, SE really going down if they keep on like this. N82 rocks....
There's a lot of SE fanboy who are very anxious and jalous about new Nokia cell phone. SE downgrade their cell phone, there's not even one SE cell phone that come close to the N95 8GB or N82. SE is going down with their new product full of bugs and high price. Wait and see the new N96, N97 and N98.
And by the way i am not a nokia fanboy but someone that love good features and good quality cell phone.

Why candybar?! Better if it was a slider like N95 or something non-bar.
Didnt like the desien
i'm sorry but this sample of photo for N82 camera is poor. You can see cubes on every sharp detail (edge of building...). SE rules in cameras... bye
Just recieved a email from nokiablog .com its the 13th November Nokia will be releasing its new Nseries mobiles or accessories so lets wait an see what Nokias going to be releasing hope theres the not just the N82 but N97 as i have seen some concept mobiles being rumoured on different websites the N97 was suppose to be a touch screen mobile with a 7.2 mega-pixel camera on it an about the same design as the iphone O2 release tomorrow hope its right as the N97 looked very nice in all Black
thank for the info, maybe i am little rude in earlier.
but one things i realize after i see the webpage, those japs are so selfish.....i try check others country SE webpage, is absolutely same. Well, those japs intend to prove how unusual they are, where most country has k850, they have SE os 905.
lucky nokia didnt perform that way, the nokia product used by finland is what we are currently using, all western are open minded, share what they have, which is the attitude I prefer the most. it is bless to be a nokia fans, feel pity for SE fans, SE didnt reveal everything they have to their supporter
especially for nokia UK and US side, it has the gorgeous webpage ever compare to the other country. plus the http://www.nseries.com/ allow the fans discover all the n series product
Ktloz what r u talking about E65 is poorly built and the w300 is well built ??? are u kidding me ?????????!!!!!!!!
do u even know the e65 ???? its one of the most solid sliders from all companies ( SE sliders are pure rubish and even worse than the bad n95 ) .. nothing can match it except samsung's
i had the w300 for a while and its the worst plastic ever made !!! i have the top sonyericsson now witch it the k850 and the colors are fading from te side and the keys and the battery cover is a nihtmare !!! everyone reviewd the w960 said its a cheap phone
so NO.... i have to dissagree with u that SE phones have quality cuz after all they are chinese man !!! the only SE phones with good quality are w900 and S700 and thats it
nokia has alot more quality than SE in general ... maybe yeah n95 and n76 are crap ... but what about the perfect built n95 8gb and the e65 and e61i and almost all the e seiries and all the s40 midand high end ????
Want a very high-spec, but normally poorly built phone? Go to Nokiaīs latest offerings.
Want a not-so-high-spec, but better built phone? Go to SE or other manufacturers.
Of course, things can change, and Nokia can make better built phones with the same specs and SE can make better feature-wise phones with the same good buid quality!
There are many people here criticizing SE and worshiping Nokia.Really, there is no SE Phone that can (feature-wise) match the latest finnish releases. SE is some steps behind Nokia, and is releasing too much models that are almost copycats of themselves. Just a little bit of bells and whistles differing from each other, almost the same. I own a W300i and a K300i, and like them both very much, because they are quite reliable and have very good battery life and a solid build quality. Recently I tried a Nokia N73 for a while, and Iīve been worried about itīs build quality and software stability. I work at Telecom Italia, where employees received some of Nokiaīs latest offerings. Some of them (E65, 6131) where highly criticized for being poorly built and suffering wear and tear quite fast. On the other side, were very regarded for having many niceties, as Wifi, camera, bluetooth, Symbian, etc. One good example to that is the N76. A very good performer that suffers of very bad engineering and materials design. Thatīs why some people just donīt want to buy Nokia anymore, thatīs full of capabilities, but poorly implemented or inside a fragile and fast-wearing handsets.
Why do every single manufacturer (namely Sony Ericsson and Nokia) like so much making extremely glossy, fingerprint magnet phones!!?? Even those with brushed metal are less prone to fingerprints than these N81, N82, W960 and alikes. I just hate to clean my phone every single time I use it!!
m}YN, how can you have tried it if it isnt even confirmed by nokia?
btw like the metal design, something that drew me to buy the nokia n91. its just so solid and looks nice.
Hopefully if you could change the design a bit and increase the screen size it would be great.
i think this was purposely released to se ewhat people think of the design u know lol
check this sites : www.sonyericsson.co.jp
you just don't know...
