This is seriously pathetic samsung. There are approx 20 million sgs users out there feeling betrayed. When the Nexus S ( essentially the same hardware as the sgs) can support android ics..why cant the galaxy s? If this is the idea of customer support from samsung..i can accept i made a mistake going in for the galaxy. I'll probably shift over to windows 7.5 mango. very very disappointing from samsung.

I AM RUNNING ICS 4,0 in my SGS providing by UMIM and it is working smoothly in SGS. IIt will be better if Samsung prepare ICS package to SGS.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-12-30 22:02 from YPb1 - click to readX10 = Runs on 362 MB of RAM. They did release a CM9 for X10 http://forum.xda-developers.co...postcount=46 and it's still laggish.

Regarding W8, it has 162 MB of RAM....even the HTC G1 has more RAM. There is no way on god's earth it's getting ICS.

And you missed my whole point:

Samsung = Updating THREE out of THIRTEEN devices released in 2011.

Sony Ericsson = Updating TWELVE out of THIRTEEN devices released in 2011

Samsung = Updating ZERO devices released in 2010

Sony Ericsson = Updating ZERO devices released in 2010

You do the math, if you're educated enough you'll find that Sony Ericsson is winning so far.

Now stop being a whining ***** about the X10, it cannot be updated because it won't run it properly...X10 users are satisfied because they themselves know their device cannot run ICS :)Unlike SGS users who know their devices are capable of running ICS but Samsung do not care about their customers :)

> In reply to RamyRamz69 @ 2011-12-30 17:06 from HxcI - click to readHere is a logic that you fanboy never had.

->Beta of ICS for SGS1 was laggy
->Beta of ICS for X1O was laggy

->But it doesn't mean they are not capable of receiving ICS since its software was only beta and immature.

->SGS1 is getting SOMETHING(whether it is ICS or value pack)
->X10 is getting NOTHING

Hence
->SE proves himself as a lazy dog
->Sammy proves himself why they are the 1# in the android market.

->Sammy users smile
->Sad SE users cry
:-)
