I'm quite sure that sony do MUCH better job than those 16mp cameras, Sonyericsson have had best cameras with nokia many years. I'm almost sure this camera is going to be one of the top 3 phone cameras. Megapixels doesn't mean almost anything it's othet things what matter! I don't even have 16mp in my expensive canon dslr and it still takes awesome photos ;)

The thing with those 12 or 16 MP is pure nonsense, just ridiculous numbers to make the handsets look better in stats. For anyone who has some basic knowledge about digital photography it's obvious that with those microscopic sensors used in smartphones, while gaining megapixels, we loose quality, have more noise, more aberrations and so on. In fact, a good 5 MP camera is absolutely enough for everyday use.

"Ice Cream Sandwich update in the second half of 2012", isn´t that a bit too late, is ICS still the newest Android OS by then?
These specs look great, but Galaxy S3... will probably have a quad-core and HD-screenresolution so SE is still, as always, late to the "party"! 12 MP is good, but this year it is 16 MP that is the number one! Only 16 Gb is not enough when there is no expansion option!

Sony Mobile phones went broke in 2002. Sony will fail again as Sony has made several financial losses in recent quarters. Sony is longer the leading elctronics company in the world as its hay day is long gone
