Got to admit it, Sony's new handsets look sweet! It was all about them this CES from a mobile point of view.

xnber, 13 Jan 2012can't wait for mwc!Lets put all the "Nokia, Samsung, Apple, WP7, Android" talks aside...
Sony really impressed me this CES, not coming with 1, or 2 smartphones, but actually coming out with super cool and smart accessories and developing their technology.
I am totally getting an Xperia Ion :) It just has everything I need. Not more or less, and at the same time offers great Sony unique stuff.

Like it or not, people decide what's good ... moreWow at last a man with facts and the truth.Maybe mr nokia can learn something instead of spouting his same old rubbish.Where does he get his facts from.Unlike most of us hes probably only ever owned a nokia and never tried android or any other brand so his comments are meaningless.I own a lumia a galaxy note and a gs 2 and the iphone 4s and con safely say the lumia is the worsed phone out of the lot.Its sooo boring.

Nokia made very big mistake... I would definitely bought that design if this has dual cores and most importantly ANDROID..
tll, 14 Jan 2012what proof have you got Nd who made you an analyst. Like it or not, people decide what's good ... moreHave faith in Nokia. I have complete and total faith that Nokia will successfully slay and vanquish Android into the abyss. The Lumia 900 is just one of the many Android killers that Mokia will unleash this year and I have no doubt that people will line up for weeks and make the iPhone 4S launch in China look weak in comparison. The Americans are hungry for a change and change is what the Lumia 900 offers them.
Nokia Fanboy PRO, 14 Jan 2012You are sadly making a mistake. The Google kool aid is starting to cloud your mind. 2012 is th... morewhat proof have you got Nd who made you an analyst. Like it or not, people decide what's good for them and I can assure you Nokia is not on that list of wants. Oh please, enough of the malware dual core.optimization BS, have you seriously no other argument other than your tired and lame argument that is source fed by the media and so called analysts that are known to speculate. Most of my devices have been a mix of Symbian, Maemo and Android and out of the three, the least fragile was Android and the software was optimized for single core use from day one, I've owned a Belle operated Symbian and Maemo N900 along with a current Desire HD from a Desire S and Ive encountered none of the lag or malware you have cited, the N900 ive had the odd hiccup with feeezes and crashes. Plus the overall usability cannot hold a candle to Android and IOS. Unless the 900 Lumia can prove its worth in a world of HD screens and optimized Hd gaming using all cores with customization, I fail to see how it will pose a threat to the yet unannounced S3 or IPhone 5. This year is vital to the survival of Nokia and windows phone, Samsung and Apple know they'll have an easy ride mowing down a Mango flavored reject which is 2 and a half years out of date with little improvement over the original 800. Dream on, your hatred is for the OS and Samsung goes far beyond which is better, you have an inferiority complex with the need to troll and brag about what Nokia has not yet achieved. You'll be shown a dose of reality soon and unless Nokia have God on thier side, you'll be weeping at it's graveside.
Android Fanboy II, 14 Jan 2012yes.this year may be their final year becoz nokia has planned to launch a bunch of wp7 handset... moreYou are sadly making a mistake. The Google kool aid is starting to cloud your mind. 2012 is the year of Android's downfall and Nokia's rise to its second golden age. Android will take a huge hit as people now knows that Android is malware ridden. Android may have the latest tech but the execution is poor. It have dual cores but the OS and apps were not optimized to use those cores properly. And it still lags even on dual cores. Now we have the fantastic Lumia 900 and its performance is quad-core like. The OS is superbly written and not rushed like Android and WP is virus and malware free.
Samsung and the rest of the Android gang will get crushed by Nokia and next year, Android will join WebOS and MeeGo in failure land.
I predict the Lumia 900 tol outsell the SGS 3 in a ratio of 10:1. The Nokia brand is just to strong for Samsung to compete against. The legions of Nokia fatefull will carry Nokia past Samsung and Apple this year.
[deleted post]yes.this year may be their final year becoz nokia has planned to launch a bunch of wp7 handsets without any huge hope..if it is fail or if they dont get right attention/response from users after its usage by this year either they can quit from smartphone market or beg google:D otherwise
samsung and htc ,sony will stick this "USE ME"word on their head..so we need to wait untill the end of this year To see whether they success or not ..(for me ,To watch a nokia lying on coffin box carried by samsung:)
MWC is when the mobile industry year really starts, although it's a little later this year than in previous years (at the end of Feb rather than clashing with Valentine's day!), although there's been a good turn out at CES this year, but it's mostly all US stuff.
So we'll really start to see the strategy of the big players unfold at MWC, it's only really Apple that don't use MWC as a platform for new releases, I'm not sure that Motorola will do much either. Sony Ericsson usually has something, Nokia have shunned the event in recent years but really can't afford to now. LG really needs to pull something out of the hat, HTC need to get a boost too. Could be interesting!
are you on high or something....nokia is not going down or anything maybe in your fantacy but not in real life...all you android guys you anyways pay to nokia and microsoft as per the agreement each OEM has with them to stop suing ...atleast i have to pay the price for only my phone and my operating system not like you
Can't wait for Tizen at MWC! That'll be my Highlight of the show. It's on the Tizen(dot)org official site that it'll be there so Feb 27 will be a great day for me. GO TIZEN!!!
