there is only 1 gap in this Sony Xperia S smartphone
that the LED flash light, but it would be awsome if it would be xenon flash.

wait!! I thought SONY produce 16mp and 8mp camera modules, then why this is 12mp? maybe they finally woke up that is not the mega pixel but its the sensor size, 16mp or 12mp is a crap if the sensor size is very tiny even its backlit sensor.

Please. Considering the lighting of the area. this is actually very impressive. Shoot in the same situation using your gs2 and n8 without any flash and see their low light performance. You guys dont know anything about cameras

these camera samples are very disappointing, I would have hoped for better and I just hope that when the phone is released the picture quality will improve, and it needs to improve by alot.

it seems sony has finally decided to give in and stop making quality products but ones that have insanly high specs for marketing e.g 12 megapixel that can be beaten by a good 8 megapixel cam ect

anyway I still have hope this phone will be better when release, cant wait for the review by gsmarena

> In reply to cnick @ 2012-01-17 10:43 from 0C1V - click to readSamsung is a brand which is better known for their off-field activities like fighting copyright issues in court...coz inadvertently they end up copying somebody's design...well forget about all that...if we are speaking of brand, style, design, aesthetics, etc.,-------, then IT'S A SONY.....and no other brand even cums close to them...performance for that matter comes with every product by default....SONY is for a niche clientele...

hey n8 is far better than this one.n8 has carl zeiss optics which is offered in sony high end cybershots n noise levels r also less.with third party cam apps,it even has d most updated camera interface which even beats SGSII. the only drawback is it doesnt hav a videolight which i find hard toshoot in no light conditions.

n8's successor will be 16mp with xenon flash plus dual core proxy... All u fanboys its useless to compare nokia's camera phone with any other brand, because they don't know how to make camera phone, just like nokia... All they can do just put the high processor and ram with the plastic body. S2's, iphone 4s camera they are really good, but only when u see on their screen. More than that it's just a crap picture...

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-01-17 14:21 from q8Q8 - click to readYes, I confirm. My Pixon 12 make almost perfect photos when I down the resolution from 12 to for example 8 or 6 mg/pix. As far only Nokia N8 - which was release 1 year later take comparable pictures. Shame that video isn't as good as photos :-/

Sony ONLY COMPETES WITH Sony, hence the chances of getting a camera that challenges the market leaders are slim.
