Heins are you sure that the previous CEO'S have taken RIM to new heights!!!??????( Thats baloney......I am rolling on the floor).
BB is becoming a relic at an exponential speed!!
samsung Fanboy pro, 23 Jan 2012Terrible phines and poor software and user experience.Working in mobile repairs bb has to be t... moreI have to agree with you there.i dont understand why anyone would pick a chavberry over an iphone or gs2.Both these phones do more and look awsome.Blackberrys are the hard way to do everything from email to texting and how boring is the software. The apps store is so limited its unreal and you only have to look at the playbook to see how good they are.No contacts no mail app no nothing. What was the point. For me chavberry is doomed and its a good job!!
Thank you for the MOST secure smartphone with the FASTEST emails the world has ever seen! Will always be a Blackberry user for how it helps me to be productive!
They said he used to work at Siemens - which Siemens? Siemens mobile division. And they think a guy from there is gonna save them? hahahahaha
Whoever is deceived by bb os7 is dumb and blind... I have never been a blackberry fan as they were well behind the like of apple and android systems... The blackberry bold 9900 made me have a second look and I immediately adopted the platform despite some added extras like hotspot was sacrificed... I would say 'great job' to the designers at RIM as I thought the company was nearly dead last year... Hoping to get os7.1 soon for tethering
not really good.
this guy would make RIM die, but in more painfull way (by refusing to die now).
Hmmmm.... Interesting article, especially after I read this:
Terrible phines and poor software and user experience.Working in mobile repairs bb has to be the most repaired phone. What phone these days needs to move data through there own servers which may i add have been out for 5days in the uk.Emails are easier to send on an iphone or a gs2.Blackberry offers nothing different to the party.Only chavs buy blackberrys just for bbm.Uae whatsapp its better.Blackberry and nokia will both be on the scrap heap by the end of 2012.
ohhh, cool thorsten heins .... was he selected because he does such an awsome job at siemens mobile?! poor guys at RIM ;-)
Too late - should have happened after that letter from the anonymous RIM employee. You can't have nowadays a product, which entirely relies on BBS. I mean getting mails in 2012 is not possible only on a cigarette lighter ;)
I had given up on the Blackberry more than 2 years ago, however when Bold 9900 came out I was very keen , and quite liked the form factor which was slim and cool to hold and use. How would I know that the OS7 was a total and qualified disaster , as within a matter of weeks I could take no more, and sold off my BB 9900 . Strangely 9900 prices at about that time took a dive, and I cannot see how RIM bb10 can do much unless it is as radical as WM 7.5 Mango. Good Luck Thorsten , sinking ships have first got to throw out the water on board, so how do you do that for the OS7 ?
'bout time. Should have been a lot sooner. At this point, it just looks like these guys are grabbing what they can and are jumping off with a parachute.
Blackberry is in serious trouble. And first thing they need to do is to realize they are in trouble. If one tries to avoid the fact they are in trouble, they wont find a solution for it. All they need is some innovation( more towards software than hardware). Have a look at this BB 10 Concept. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmdxEea7hhI
Are we gonna get a Fujitsu-Siemens-RIM now? What a mouthful.
One thing is clear: This year is do or die for RIM. Unless they can come out with something cutting-edge (both hardware & software wise), they're gone.
If they die, I hope QNX gets open sourced at least.
[deleted post]Nokia..jezz wake up. Nokia has been losing serious ground as well.Over the world Samsung, HTC, and LG have been climbing very fast and have near on par sales. In North america...Nokia Who???? Rim's failure was due to apple HTC and Samsung bringing in Tech that people loved. Took Rim a while before one of their models got a touch screen. Either way, rim is finished unless they bring something really new to the market and i am not taking OS.
