I'm using a Nokia 6230i mobile brought from germany(O2). I successfully downloaded the Google maps for mobile app via my mobile. Everything installed correctly, although when I load up the app, I get the error message 'This application requires a data connection. Please contact your carrier or visit www.google.co.uk/gmm/configure.html on your computer for more info.'

Could anybody can help in solving this issue???

this is stupid they say that is not useing gps, instead is useing GPRS to locate in Vodafone Romania , the session cost for Gprs is expensive , is not worth!

I used the GPS from google on my old Samsung A940 and it worked great in high tower-populated areas. It was already available for certain phones in the begining of the year, but it kept on loosing location. Hopefully now that its "publicized" it won't have that same problem...and even if it does I won't complain 'cause it free :D
