Its interesting, I have not updated yet to 2.0 but I noticed something new the other day. Only about a day or two ago I was on Youtube (BADA 1.2) with my Wave and I noticed that they have improved the Youtube App/interface when you go Youtube's mobile version. For some reason is was always the same outdated crap for long and now it looks like how it looks on Android phones, Im not sure if Samsung and Youtube updated this together. Just letting you know that I have seen this for those who have not checked recently.

> In reply to Jack @ 2012-01-27 19:58 from s8dL - click to readYes, well said, without VOIP, the phone was useless to me.

Gone already to Android. I get regular updates to apps and firmware, but more importantly choice and integration between them and my hardware.

Samsung killed Bada the moment they ignored customers like me who wanted something different.

Trust me, Bada won't even be on the menu next year!

The dumbest thing i came across is that there are no sound profiles. That is a real pain the butt because i use to have a few different tunes and alerts that i used (louder ones for daytime, and quiter ones for night... so i dont get an heart attac if my phone ring or i get a message in the middle of the night). A pretty standard thing to have nowdays, right? Well not if you ask Samsung :P

I am upgrading my phone in Greece, i've got UK ROM. It will take some time but i was waiting so many months... few minutes are pleasant to see the files being transferred. Will get back after testing bada 2.0 on my Wave S8500 Yeah!

Ok, so i updated to the new firmware. It is bada 2.01. I'm still getting used to it because it is quite different then 1.2. You all probably saw the new bada running on Wave 3 so i wont go over the usual things, ill just point to some changes. It is quite difficult to imput passwords because you dont get to see the preview letter, just the * character. The keyboard layout is different and it seams to be smaller in landscape mode, so lots of typos at the moment.
One more thing, be sure to BACKUP your memory card (or remove it) before you start the update. I lost more then half of my photos from the mem. card :(
p.s. Im from Serbia.
p.p.s. Im typing this post from my Wave and the input is a bit lagy.

And in same time, on my android device, i don't use (and don't feel like installing) most of the apps you quoted excepted yahoo.

Bulgaria still waiting for that notorious update! I do not know whether it will wait any longer! From Samsung had promised to release the update last year - the speed with which the work is frustrating!

I'm updating now (restoring backup). It's bada 2.x, but from little of what i've seen when the phone rebooted, it's very slow!
I'll post again when it finishes.

got wave 3 a month ago.has BADA 2.0
working fine ,but it is not for those having too much craze fr applications as very few are available. Also the battery life is bad, i guess it is bcoz of 4.0 inches super AMOLED screen and also because i am using a 3G.

Bada 3.0 coming very soon by 2020!! So plz dnt hangup on bada. Its a shame for samsung that they dont provide proper updates for their own OS!! Thers no Skype, Fring, Nimbuzz, Yahoo etc. Even the cheapest android and symbian devices get all those goodies. Wake up Samsung else shut down Bada.
