the design is ok...even Apple haven't change much from their first Iphone in 2007,why would change quickly something perfect? just to have a weird design?,maybe next models HTC will have some extravagant designs, but the usual consumer don't take exclusivity over functionality/clever,well built/quality components, and this in not a flagsip phone, probably somwhere mid-range.let's be honest the body is Metal, not cheap plastic like others..they are working hard and now with a new strategi,i'm sure they will be different.IMHO it's an excelent device.somebody said about glass camera, maybe yours was made from plastic, mine is glass, doesn't scratched at all,and i don't wear covers.(desire s)

Like many / most on here...

What on earth distinguishes this from a phone released in 2008???

The design of the entire HTC is APPALLING...

Major fail...

Fingers crossed the Galaxy S3 isn't as uninspiring - but as it's been reported Sammy are going for how 'thin' it is... I reckon it'll be the same story...

no sense of style/lack of design.....go back to your core design will continue the downward trend in your profits if you dont adjust

Wau! It look exactly like HTC Touch from 2008. HTC should really fire the whole design team. Lame.

Keep 'em coming! I just like the momentum at which new and majestic phones are being unleashed daily. The Galaxy S is in vogue for a second,in the next it's like a relic. But seems like some Finn who found love in the US is moving at a very slow pace.My 2-year-old Wave can show their newest kid on the block some lumi@nation.Seriously 720P video and lack of multi-core CPU feels like going back to VC-Rs or worse, magnetic tape in this day of ipods and blu-ray discs.

Would rather have Sony Xperia S, better screen resolution and it will have a better camera even if the HTC comes with a 12 MP shooter aswell plus the Sony looks completely different to any other phone while all HTC's look the same and the HTC sence software lies to heavily built it while Sony's timescape software is an overlay app which is easier and faster to update the Sony is a better phone all round in my opinion anybody else agree.

I don't get it why HTC has to budlge out camera lens on evey single phone. And they stick a normal glass cover over it. My old Wildfire has entire lens scratches with micro scratches even though all the other parts are without a single tiny scratch, not on body and not on screen. How hard is it to retract the camera a bit back and protect it further.
