that is expected. android phones are a lot cheaper than iphone and in this tough economy, most will choose an android phone specifically a samsung android phone.

Or perhaps they were choosing Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Acer, Sony, etc over the iPhone. There's always this confusion about android/iOS and iPhone/abdroid phones.

Sincerely, I think the best OS for first time users is Android.
It's a wide open plataform with a promising growth, with increasingly amount of free apps.
No need of jailbreak and no limitations of iTunes.

Do you know how small Apples profits would be compared to Samsung, Sony and LG for example if these companies put together all profits from all division like TV's, Audio, Laptops, Music and other hardware just like Apple does.

Why you peeps make it like a religion? why can't people live with BOTH?

Android and IOS both have strengths and weaknesses in various departments, nothing is complete in this life so is mobile OSes.

I have both Galaxy S2 and Iphone 4S but using Galaxy more because of my personal needs.

but don't tell me to use WP7, I've used it before and yucK!!!!

You guys are being unfair towards apple. Basicly, compared to other companies, apple won. Its 3 against 10000000 androids. Try compairing with each company. -.-

There is no logic involved... OS is what counts... is it Google fault, that Apple choose to sell only one overpriced device? It shows just, that people buy cheaper android phones... it is not like you cannot get a cheap iOS device, lile 3GS, but that didnt help them, did it?

By the way... those 100$ android phonea are cheap to get, but proves nothing, cuz people always say apple has only one product... Not true... Apple has only 1 high end product and those of the years bsfore get forgotten? That what is even more cheap.

guys i n my frnd gt new mobiles last week htc s.xe nd iphone 4s....
in all aspects my phone beats iphone except in price ..r.i.p ios...android more stable than ios as per recent gsmarena posts...more apps than ios....my phone gt bigger screen bigger battery....nd 1.5ghz dual core vs 800 mhz dual core....nly thing is he has siri software even i like dat...nice timepass....but dnt wrry android ppl,we r getting majel in coming months.. .which is more smoother n faster than siri....my frnd really regrets buying iphone....

Would an iPhone be as succesful as it is, just running Android instead of iOS? I dont think so... so whats important? OS or Phone Manufacturer? O believe OS and that shows, how great google and apple are in their own ways. Ah and dude... I happend to ask my neighbor about WP7 and he asked: "what?"

Android is very amazing to use and have a large variety of apps compare to IOS and also android smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S, S II, Note are very powerful and much better than an Iphone.

if we are talking about iOS vs Android and others. iOS is for Apple products only but Android is divided for other smartphone products which includes, Samsung, LG and others to name. So if you will sum up iOS or iPhone still share the largest in the market.
