If anyone still visits here, it has been released as Alpha. Search for NITDroid. I would recommend waiting for beta or a stable release before using alpha though. :)

You said no one wants to develop for it, but why?

The reason it sees so little development is because every single discussion of it, some tech journalist has to add "no one want to develop for it".

It's qt, it's incredibly easy. It's not Symbian or Android with its crazy fragmentation. It's one device, with every tool a developer could want and qt works on all other devices except wp7. It's basically just ARM linux.

There really is no other conclusion other than its obscurity and its bad press(which often comes alongside glowing reviews of the device itself).

well ... now that I've seen android on N9, it remains to see even the iOS running on the beautiful nokia and I've seen them all. LOL.
However, I'll just stick to my meego :) (is just to beautiful to replace it)

The only draw of the N9 is Meego...this is a step backwards.

Leaders have unique thoughts and can inspire others rather copy them...Windows should stop distributing the WP OS to the OEMs of Android phones...NOKIA will once again will be the popular choice worldover...
