The very name of 'Apple' is a grave patent infingement act itself. Apple Inc. has been sued twice by Apple Corp, another company established in late 1960s, over the usage of 'Apple' brand.

sammsung = Best price for great internals, cheap external design and quality (erm, more plastic?), user experience is like Windows 98. Blocky and ugly.
Apple = Best design and quality internals and highest user experience, though expensive
As for the patent wars, good luck Sammy in Korea, Sammy will need the extra $50-60 Million.

Not because of patents and devices, the mobile division is just a small part of Samsung. They manufacture Electrical Appliances and a lot more. It's there reputation at stake. Not the Patents. Even if they just give out those patents, it won't literally hurt them as a whole. Now it's there name that is being drag on a pigsty so it's quite understandable if they would defend it. But as a typical chinky eyed asians like the Chinese and Japanese, Koreans are Big when it comes to Honor and reputation, they will do more than defend, it'll be an all out war.

I will never ever buy an Apple product and even tell all my friends and family not to patronize any of their product. I look at them as the bully of the mobile phone manufacturers and thus should not be worthy of attention. All these patent wars initiated by Apple makes everybody sick. I used to consider buying an iPhone or iPad or even MacBook but lately disappointed by Apple's arrogance towards its competitors.
