Samsung has many phones and has updates for all of them every few days if you don't know about that instead of crying on a phones news site. (Check sammobile.com and twitter/SamKiesupdates).

Cant believe this samsung have made such a hype about s2 getting ics by leaking rom after rom and htc has quitely done everything and start seeding before anyone else.. quitely brilliant... but i think why samsung is working so much on it is because ics have alot of bugs and problems and samsung is ironing them all so once they release their own ics version with the touchwiz on top of it n all, it'll be nothing like the buggy one on galaxy nexus.

To make matters worse some of their phones are being updated in one region but not another even though the device is all but identical. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note, so I understand your frustration. Still grateful I didn't end up with a Nexus though, considering all the problems it's had.
