I can touch my phone with gloves too, and it's regular S2, without anny modifications. It's not new feature if you think you found something....

I just tried swiping up/down/left/right through my thick cotton t-shirt on a Nokia N8, Nokia C6-01 and ipad2; all of them worked.

the same floating touch can also be done in galaxy s2 and may be in some other devices by changing the touch threshold value
