Nokia updates its Maps app with real-time traffic updates - read the full textNokia has launched a free real-time traffic updates service for its Maps/Drive applications. Currently, the service is live only in Mumbai and Delhi, but Nokia is promising more cities to benefit from the service in the near future. The Fins say they've covered as much as 1,500km of the road...

interesting to note that Nokia choose one of most complicated and busiest streets (cities) to begin with!

Real time traffic update services cant work in india
you need traffic monitors everywhere for that
say, there are 100 cars at q junction but only 50 of those have a gps system
another junction has 70 cars but all of them have a gps
so the traffic update will show a higher traffic at the second junction
So basically it wont work
you either need a satnav in every vehicle or underground traffic sensors like the ones in seoul.

Live traffic updates and automatic rerouting due to traffic has been a feature of the Symbian version of Maps for months now, and is already in use by many of those users.
