Samsung i9000 is 4", i9100 is 4.3", i9300 is again with 4" with high pixels. Samsung made a good decision. It is good to have smartphone size between 3.5" to 4.3". And NOTEs are between 5.0" to 5.5" and TABs are between 7.0" to 10.1". Samsung should also consider to do this for Windows and Bada OS
Samsung users have many choice in smartphones!

Finally, a high Res 4 inch phone. Hopefully smaller screen produces battery life closer to the iphone. Honestly, if this has 8-10 hours of web browsing it'll be better than one x and the siii (assuming it has a battery raping screen). So if Samsung doesn't cheap out on the battery we may have a winner.

Amazing that they have 720p screen on there 4" screen for a mid range phone. I really hope this becomes a standard for all smart phones. Were need amazing screens even on the cheaper devices.

i am guessing they are planning on replacing the S2 with that phone? their second generation dual core while the S3 becomes their flagship?

Wow, uglier than Galaxy S1, this should be called I8999 because it doesn't even belong in the same league as the i9100.

Smaller screen than the S2? What gives?
No new technology in here. My S2 destroys this in terms of design and value.
