This is NOT an entirely useless device because the tablet and the keyboard increases the battery life.
I think BT keyboards are useless because it will drastically drain your phone's battery.

You can buy the phone first for your self. Then the pad then the dock if you want.
3phones+2tab (if that permits)

You have a lot of option.
And you can also look for the other mobile handset if you want.

Its not good if someone buy the tab without the phone... joke... :)

This whole model as one, does not make any sense.
now days have Blue tooth key board with case retail selling for US$30 so this really is sense less models as all in one

First of all, are you buying this devices for personal and office use or for the family?

Those scenarios are actually good.

But here's the catch:

click the icon that says ONE STOP STORAGE

Note that if you read it, there is a phrase that says " So no matter which device you used last"

Then click the icon that says DYNAMICDISPLAY

another phrase that says "...PadFone to PadFone Station and vice versa."

Based on those phrases...there is a possibility that both devices can operate independently. ofcourse..this is my assumption. would be best to wait for it to come out so we would know.

lastly... click the SAVINGS icon.

Here's what it say.

When docked, the PadFone Station uses the PadFone’s 3G connection for internet access, so you only need one data plan for two devices. That translates to a whole lot of savings every year!

so you have two options:

by a phone and a tablet and get two data plans

or buy a padphone and get one data plan.

you choose.

> In reply to Verbal_Criminal @ 2012-04-06 03:35 from 9Lax - click to readmy scenario here will be : I am talking on the phone, but my kids want to play on the tab in the next room.

If the tab do not work independently on wi-fi, its of no use. sheer wastage.

If I took the phone with me to office, and my wife want to work on the Tab !! This can be done if I buy different gadgets.

GO ahead and buy a phone and a tablet, I'm going to buy this.

You're going to have 2 data plans, while I enjoy just one, plus mine can go up to 9x its battery life.

Plus I only have one storage, less hassle in transfering files, and most of all...can your tablet/phone have a USB/SD card interface and a real keyboard?

well you can make and recieve calls on tablet or netbook mode, why would you want to remove the phone, if you find it awkward to make and recieve calls on tablet or netbook mode.. just put in the bluetooth headset...why remove the phone?

give me a scenario.
