And you are stating this from your best friend that works at google in the part of the development OS department?! One thing is changing the name of the 'Market' to 'Google Play' other is to change their OS name to a different name, they have nothing to gain with that, they are the leading OS without doudt...ANdroid is too big and come to far to be change now, sorry ;)

WP has so much to grow and will never be an open source like linux (Android), so android will be always 3 steps ahead from WP. Apple will have the same fate as WP because of the simple fact that their genious has past away and it's a manner of time they start making more and more mistakes. I don't like apple and I don't have anything against WP but I really think Android is for all users and all budgets unlike the other the two. Sorry, but this platform is here to stay for many many many long years, all you need is to open your mind and think that android is capable of anything ;)

From what I see here is

Android number 1 because it's open source, thus very fast development cycle.

iOS number 2 because it's brand value

WP7 RIP because metro UI is soooo borrinnggg
