The proper term that should be used is ELF = Early Life Failure. Used to be anything in 14 days = immediately replaced.
This is damaging for HTC. Already losing more customers with a new product.
kote, 12 Apr 2012What does DOA stand for? I consulted a dictionary but it didn't help.doa - dead or alive..lol
Anon, 12 Apr 2012"after that, they'll fix it under what's covered by the phone's warranty" lmfao..... morei think your find that htc will sort this out of warrenty as they have admitted its a problem.....a sim thing happened with sonys s500 phones, keys rubbing off and cracking...they admitted to it and solved the issue by replacing the keys...
kote, 12 Apr 2012What does DOA stand for? I consulted a dictionary but it didn't help.DOA = DEAD ON ARRIVAL. It's a specific procedure for producs that are damaged before arriving at the retailer
kote, 12 Apr 2012What does DOA stand for? I consulted a dictionary but it didn't help.DOE means dead on arrival, it refers to terminal that are dead right out of the box and for which you get an replacement right away. without going though the whole warranty process
"after that, they'll fix it under what's covered by the phone's warranty"

i have a HTC TP2 from 2009. its still in fab condition despite being used daily. still running WM6.5 too.
runs like a dream.
all that balls about WM OS is rubbish. just get an unlocked, non carrier phone and see the differences.
i will NEVER buy a subsidized phone.....

HTC offering a full replacement.. what did Apple and sammy give you?? Huh? A plastic Bumper. Enjoy that.
Excellent PR HTC!
So say you want one of these because its to put you on till SGS3 arrives,,when you get it home you are going to abuse it a bit to see if yours is one of the affected bunch of phones..It does seem in this mass market world QC is being made less and less.
