This is the phone I'm currently using, and it's the first phone. 2600 C is the PERFECT phone for those who need a good-looking and well-behaved phone. It has a camera, video recording and can play music too and all at a very reasonable price.
The best thing about this phone is that no matter how many times you drop it on the floor, it will NOT break or crack.
The ONE problem I've had so far with this phone is that it has TOO little memory, and no space for a memory card. Still, it's perfect for teenagers and first-phoners.
On the whole, I'd give this phone a whopping 6.5/10 (yes, that's whopping for me, because I'm usually stingy with marks;))

Nokia 2600c - I bought the 2600C last months. Found it easy to use. However I have a problem and hope someother users can help me out. I put my phone on sleep mode. But the time and date are not visible to me all the time. Is there a way to set my phone such that it is on sleep mode but there is a white band on top of the screen so that the time and date visvible during the sleep mode?

Thank you.

why the hell they still use time and money to develop these crap phones. phones like n-95 i agree they are expensive now, but after few months or a year, the price drops more than half. so not so heavily features phone, but a basic phone today has atleast 256k screen, music playing capability, 2mp or more camera, and better battery life.
i would be more inclined to spend r&D cost on best products, rather than some with same internals and outside different.

by these phones, nokia is wasting time and enenrgy.

dudes, people cannot say it sucks..nokia does not release these phones for no reason. People who can afford expensive phones eventually need new phones..and these ones are in their range..so stop critizing what it doesnt have..

hehe,
it's been a long time since i heard the last xpress-on Nokia here.
so, they finally decide to resurrect the infamous xpress-on covers.

now, if only they add some nice design touch, i think, non-gadget-freak will appreciate these phones.

Although these phones are not up to our standards ( with all the wap and bluetooth etc ) but these phones are great for the elderly i work in retail selling phones and the amount of elderly people that are buyin phones these days.. these are the people that nokia are aiming for and a no thrills phone is where theyve got it sussed! How many other brands can you say that do simpler phones for this generation??
