I think they will show both the i9300 and the i9500 on May 3rd... with the i9500 being the S3... i9800 will come later...

the physical home button is useful.
it can be used to unlock the phone.
actually, i feel the unlock button should be placed on the same plane of the screen. much easier to find compare to being on the side of the phone.
