Samsung Galaxy Nexus deserves it.
1) SGN has 4.65 Super Amoled 720P HD SCREEN. (very clear & great color)
2) You can click 3 pics in 1 sec. (Very fast)
3) 5mp with 1080p resolution (very good for a mobile device)
4)Zero Lag
5)Very handy features (including panaroma mode)

One question. What are the criteria used by TIPA in choosing the Best Mobile Imaging Device? Maybe if we understand the criteria used by the judges, we won't be raising voices that GSII or iPhone or N8 phones deserve better than the Nexus. I don't own a Nexus so I can't say much about its camera.

I'm not a Nexus fan, in fact, I'm a Nokia phone user. I own 4 Nokia units, including the N9, and now planning to make it 5 units.

So, if TIPA had used its own criteria in choosing the best mobile imaging device and Nexus came out solidly, we must respect TIPA's decision and no more qualms.

Though I don't agree much with the results, I respect their decision.

> In reply to btc5472 @ 2012-04-26 00:23 from 0cJI - click to readI do not think that the color coming from photos taken by Galaxy Nexus is nice. I have read and compared some pictures taken from Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4s or galaxy SII, but I don't really think that Galaxy Nexus is the best one in color of photos (not mention about the details or sharpness...)

I really think that Google Galaxy Nexus is not worth for that reward since there are such other devices can defeat Galaxy Nexus: iPhone 4s, Galaxy SII, Sony Xperia S...I'm so disappointed about TIPA's decision!

Yes that true N8 is still no.1.a lot of people are interested in that phone and come see for yourself in GSMARENA statistics.Still no 1 in terms of photo imaging upto this date until the release of nokia 808.

> In reply to bob @ 2012-04-25 19:27 from dQG9 - click to readGS2 has better CPU,RAM and screen than N8.
But in the camera department, N8 is king. Accept the fact buddy. Check the reviews of N8 camera. Even some proffessional photographer also said it is the best mobile camera.
And Samsung GS2 has pinky spot problem in camera. Check it out in google. The only phone which worth to compare with N8 is now Xperia S. But monster N808 is coming soon.

Nokia and Google drop a payoff by the looks to me because the nexus is capable but not the best, and Nokia amazing camera but screen a big let down.
People will pay silly money to see the 808 with HD screen better gpu and cpu more ram and wp8 then Nokia could make some ground back but with this its little more than a gimmick and most are board of the ghz and megapixel race and want better software intergration that not even wp8 will bring I beleive,
A desktop phone is what we want but to operate it on touch screen and qwerty level is what's needed to free the screen of the interfering pop up keyboard and bring the experience closer to user with more display on same size screens and more feel

I don't know why GSM arena mentioned that the first phone came with taking photo while you shooting video is HTC one x ?! It's already on galaxy nexus since the first day came out.

Nokia is not letting them to get close to their camera quality. There is no other phone yet out there with the n8 image quality on video or pictures and now they make this 808. Nokia deserves my loyalty.

> In reply to Cha @ 2012-04-25 17:42 from Nsbf - click to readThe awards are not just for camera.Don't forget that N8 is a really weak phone in every case such as CPU, ram and even Camera.Although it is 12 mp but the 8mp of Galaxy S2 is much better than it.
I think that the date of Nokia has been expired because nowadays people are looking for smart phones( Androidi or ioS) not symbian phones.I believe the Galaxy Nexus is a real smart phone.
