I don't know if capacitive buttons are a good idea... I love the advantage of a seamless screen and of not having a place where dust can eventually accumulate. I had my doubts before switching to a new phone - was even considering the Galaxy Nexus but now, I think the physical home button is a luxury - especially if I try to unlock the screen in total darkness... on the Note especially. I find it much more comfortable to press the home hey and swipe to unlock rather than having to find the lock key and then swipe. Physical buttons might be unsatisfactory design-wise but they're damn useful.
