It seems alot of folks here didn't read the article. This is just a developer shell. Not the final design.

It seems RIM's new strategy is to... look like an iPhone/Android.

that is definitely an iphone with a BB case. You can see the secondary camera and all the details on the front of the phone. Also exact same camera and LED flash positioned on the back. Thats why they blurred out the bottom of the front to cover the home button. LOSERS

If this phone is the one that RIM hoping for to get back in the top, RIM should be better disband now.
They should see that even Microsoft can't withstand Android+iOS.
die RIM die
die WP die

If RIM would sell this as a phone, I would definately buy it!!!
the idea of having the playbook design as a phone, together with the playbook build quality, is perfect!!!
If somebody from RIM, or someone who knows an employee who works there, reads this, tell the managers that they should sell this product!

If this is in fact what their next step is going to be then RIM is going to go bankrupt soone than expected. You can't compete in the full touch screen or tablet market dumb as! The bb signature is their qwerty keyboard. And u are sacrificing that. Best of luck, I am going to sell my bb 9900 in exchange for an iPhone 4s when this phone is announced, so I don't have to suffer a bigger price drop. Use yOur heads RIM

The front of the iPhone, when compared next to the picture, is different. the speaker on the front is longer and thinner. The sensor is also on the wrong side, and the camera looks different on the back.

Until Carriers get rid of the mandatory BIS and they release unlocked unbranded carrier phones I don't see myself buying another Blackberry!
