Today, on the first day of the event, RIM presented the official developer alpha device for the QNX-based BlackBerry 10 platform. I'm glad you're not my investment advisor or I would have lost a fortune. The iphone 5 bombed because it was way to early. They are selling it in Walmart for $125.00. Sales are dead. They have nothing new unless they start adding color to their product line. They are releasing another ipdad though. Yawn. Apple died with its leader. Samsung is chewing on their heels. Apple stock is down $100.00 Polling has show people think the BB10 will be a hit. There is a waiting list. By all accounts this phone will raise the bar on anything out there. It is an amazing piece of technology. The timing is perfect and Blackberry will once again rise up to where it belongs.

RIM is dead and has been for quite some time now...
No way they'll catch up to iOS or android at this point. Look at all the heavy marketing of Windows Phone, and still they haven't gotten very far...

At least RIM could have given a good 5mpx autofocus camera in this handset and priced it at Rs.5000/- then at least we could expect some interesting revival.

I still like the BB Bold 9780 which I feel is much better than this, but inspite of it being too old it still asks a premium of Rs.22000/- Had it been around Rs.6000 or 7000/- it would have been a great buy.

I don't know why people go gaga over BB phones when they give outdated stuff, do not lower prices even after the handset ages quite a lot, never gives good camera & multimedia features, used to keep out FM radio and never even considers front facing camera.

And yet RIM charges exorbitant prices for their obsolete handsets!!!

Come on guys. The device Is just a prototype for developers and DOESN'T look like an iPhone and is NOT a BlackBerry10. It's a 4'' Playbook, the design is identical to the Playbook, are you blind?

Hope this hits the market in October. My 8megapixel camera iPod touch (a.k.a iPhone 4S) contract ends in February 2013... So in February bye bye 4S, hello BlackBerry10.

If blackberry successfully creates a new phone with hardware that competes against today's dual core/quad core phones... i will retract my previous statement about blackberry being useless... Then and only then i will buy myself a blackberry if android stops being such an amazing OS

RIM should put Skype on their upcoming OS 10 to make it perfect. BlackBerry has claiming that their devices are intended for business use not for gaming etc. But how can RIM say that if they don't have skype on their devices? so wake up RIM!

so funny how people just start taking stabs at big companies from their tiny rooms behind a pc screen, if any of you guys that talk about too little too late, or iphone mockups or even THINK that Blackberry 10 will be unsatisfactory then why dont you make a super awesome unrivaled OS and get it onto a superb and dynamic model of a phone of your OWN design, and show RIM how it SHOULD be done? Oh wait, you can't!!!!!!! COZ YOU SUCK!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA................ I await Blackberry 10....

Mmmm, very nice, but I don't think the folks at Apple will think so, it kinda looks like a slightly modified iPhone 4S...

I love the OS, but again, Apple fanboys will probably have a fit about it too...

Seriously folks.. don't you read? This is a platform developer's unit.. not an actual retail product. And if you've seen the playbook, this looks exactly like one that's been shrunk from 7 inch to 4 inches.
