Seriously I do not see the need for all these comparisions.
I have been using symbian for over 5 years now and to be honest apart from the screen resolutions and so called multiple CPUs I do not lack any thing that highend android phones and iOs have. if it is the apps I thing there are so many frivolous apps in the market place.
I am a heavy user of phones in that I am an independent developer ( delphi - I know people will say why not .net or java, this because delphi gets the work without any fuss and I do not have to worry about application servers etc. Instead I design my own servers). As such I have to be online always, emailing, modifying invoices and sending them, doing last minute changes to a presentation and more I do
all these from my n8.
So the symbians may not be the nice boys of the smartphones but they may be the work horses. I my world it spis common to see a person with 2 or more phones but I always have the high end nokia phone starting from 6600,n78,n97 and now n8.
I may take some time for me to decide if I will for the pureview 808 because I like to monitor the windows phone 8 os and what nokia will do with it.
But I have fallen in love all over again with my n8 because every update makes the phone look like a new one.
I have never felt the need for sg 2 but I bought the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 wifi,3 g and from what I read of the galaxy note 10.1 I shall upgarade as soon as I can lay my eyes on them in Ghana.
So I will go for a technology mix my n8 and a galaxy tab best for business.
Thanks

he was talking about how many phones are out there and not about the actual sales numbers.
so in this aspect symbian should be still no1, just have in mind that it was years over years (till q1 2011) best selling os all over the world.

But now that you ask: what makes it stand out?
Oh I don't know. Maybe the fact that it's still selling like crazy more than a year after it's release and that it' still one of the most popular phones out there.

And we all know what happens when you zoom in while capturing full hd. 100X just doesn't make sense when the quality falls to levels unacceptable.
And more, I m SURE you have a Note. So just look around, and find me some metal. Take out that back cover, will it survive a fall??
