My comment about the smartphone not being announced was in regard to the huge size of the S3 blurring the lines between a smart phone and a tablet.

haha, you already think that if your 'smart phones' must be huge or be old style with a hardware keypad. Such a marketing victim.

> In reply to deep @ 2012-05-04 18:29 from t1$A - click to readI completely agree with Deep. The specs of this phone are awesome. I found Galaxy Note too big, I feel a 4.3-4.8 inch screen for a phone is the apt size. But the only thing is I didn't find its look good. You won't want your expensive phone ugly though its specs are amazing.

-Are you talking about physical design? then Changing design is called Being Creative. call it innovative if its not a touch bar, slider, calmshell, round egde, square edge, tapered, curve screen, protruding display, unibodys, back flips.did i forget any ??
Why dont you say whats innovative design you can think of?
added to that , dont you think samsung as a company has to consider the patent infringments which are a huge buzz in mobile world.
btw, what do you call direct call? pop up play video? dont you see 'innovations' in them??

-Why should they change the o/s like ubuntu? dont get me wrong , i have no intention in starting a false argument, but please think again, why should they change it that way(leaving the fact that you might like it)

-Whats wrong with pentile in HD? sorry but is that such a waste of screen technology? your question is posing an impression as if its a 360*640 screen with 16k colors. check Note's screen.

-What material are you expecting?
~metal body, - has problems with reception, scratches, heat issues with cpu/gpu (on load), accidental drops, more damage to screen and not mention WEIGHT.
~polycarbonate unibody- its recycled engineered platic again with an option of full colors instead of paint. its stronger than normal plastic, however, high manufacturing costs (in comparision), it absorbs moisture and other odours, difficult to replace.

whats cheap? looks of the plastic? havent you lived with plastic of this quality all these years? secondly, plastic is light weighted, easily replacable. when an accidental drop or scratches, one can replace the back cover or other part for less maintenace cost. and it reduces the overall manufacturing costs.

Sony are more like 3 ltr sedan fully kitted with sunroof and leather seats. Samsung vehicles are more powerful but that is because they are trucks!

Samsung can't make decent cars, only trucks.

He is the same guy, 'judge', who has been trolling all samsung pages n though he says that he is an ifan , i havent found one supportive post on any apple article by this guy at all. He is most probably a minor who doesnt own any smartphone at all but is just pestering others, maybe just to kill time. Thats why i dont reply to this pest at all. Just dont bother ur self with him, mate. Its just a waste of time.

> In reply to blueglue @ 2012-05-04 20:15 from wd8K - click to readChanging the design isn't innovation ? thats what they are paid for. Haven't you seen vast varieties in other companies ?. Y can't they change the OS like Ubuntu ? Y do they use pentile display ? Y can't they cange the material ? instead of cheap plastic ?

Another Samsung tablet. Weren't they also meant to be announcing a new smartphone yesterday?

Not so many years ago computers used to take up an entire room. Samsung's five year plan is to build a mobile phone which will take up an entire room.
GSMArena will call the screen size impressive and Samsung customers will form queues around the block to buy one.

This is a let down .. seriously a let down.

Samsung has to come out of the plastic design atleast now. The black/blue one looks really cheap white looks better.

and also please change ur design now ... we have seen hundreds of phones with same design and now another galaxy they will release another 100 phones with similar design and name them as Galaxy Ace/ace +/A/B/c/D/E .... etc etc

it is nothing but Galaxy note with lesser width.

LOLZ!! And if u unable to find any innovation in sgs3 i wud suggest that u go and have check ups on both, brain n eyes, one of those is definitely in need of treatment.
