The only feature that would draw me from the 4s is that it has a 300+ dpi on a large screen.

> In reply to PPK @ 2012-05-04 02:14 from 02Z4 - click to readI am convinced that there is a contract between Google and Samsung which prevents Samsung from releasing a phone too similar to the G Nexus, hence the sub-standard pentile screen.

Disappointed. Much better looking phones out there such as the Xperia S.
Samsung must work on its phone designs.
Am sure it will be a performance power horse though!

I think this is like Vista in the Windows world. Samsung was under pressure to match the SII and they failed here. Good processor and internal memory and a few other improvements, bad shape, the bottom looks ugly. The home button also sucks, again SII seemed better even the Note is good too. Expected a higher MP camera, possibly 12 or even 10MP. The blue colour is a Fail... Samsung's blue may have been better or why not Black, unless there'll be a black edition with some changes :) . Guess we now look forward to the S5...

i'm kinda disappointed. i don't know why i feel that samsung will release a new, better smartphone around the end of the year...for a flagship you don't use crappy pentile displays, you give your best.
i really hoped this will be better than htc one x on looks, but no. guess i'll wait more before changing my dual core for a quad...

an 8mp instead of 12mp camera, and a pentile instead of a RGB? This is a huge disapointment. I'll still get the phone since it's the best on the market, but what a disapointment

iPhone 4S was a bigger upgrade from the iPhone 4 than this GS3 over GS2. In fact, the design itself I consider a disappointing downgrade and looks like a generic Chinese knock-off phone, seriously annoying.
Only thing that saves it are specs, but even then not much. Sorry Samsung, you're not getting my money this time.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-05-04 00:41 from nIGS - click to readThe only fail here is that you have not assumed yet that the physical keyboard was dead long time ago... if you don't think so, ask RIM about their sales xD
The bad part IMO, is the battery, despite all the quadcore optimizations.

Matrix display is out-classed. You will have sharper images on Galaxy S2 due to it's RGB layout.
GPU (Mali 400mp) is out-classed. Mali 600 series are current ones. 1GB ram and 8MP camera is quite ordinary.
Although, Design and features are acceptable and CPU is powerful; but they are not enough to make it up for out-classed display and graphic card.
I would say this device is worth 300 USD. Not more.

good on you samsung
it is time to hand over the crown back to Almighty NOKIA.
cheap bloody plasticy
cheap design copied from a loosing company
way way way too big for a phone
your dual core s2 was ok now quad core s3
single core Nokia is more reliable than your dual cores or quad cores.
bye bye samsung, i put my s2 on ebay for sale tonight. i was hoping for a better design same size as s2 and better build phone.
