Nokia PureView 808 enters FCC, gives US tiny hope

Nokia PureView 808 enters FCC, gives US tiny hope - read the full textBack in March we learned Nokia PureView 808 won’t be coming to North America – understandable, given Nokia’s decision to pull off Symbian smartphones from this market. Since the N9 skipped the NA market, we had no reason to expect the Finns to have a sudden change of heart for the 808 PureView....

after seeing this great innovation in imaging, one thing we nokia fan boys have to say..
ITS NOT NOKIA WHICH NEEDS ANDROID..
ITS ANDROID WHICH NEEDS NOKIA and that to desperately.

First time I saw Samsung S III, the design reminded me of this phone.

But aside of the camera, this phone has nothing to offer compared to Android, iOS, and WP.

-Lacks of apps
Seriously, ovi store is worse than WP market place.
-Worst browsing experience
No need to say, my E6 native browser and opera are very laggy.
-Boring UI
I don't have to explain this. Even those static Live Tiles in WP are quite a refresh for people who's got tired of small app icons.

Symbian doesn't stand a chance in smartphone war. You are a die hard Nokia fanboy? Better go to the Lumias. Even for myslef, the only reason I stay with Android is the costumizeable part. Otherwise, iOS or WP seems to be a better smartphone OS.

> In reply to TheMan @ 2012-05-06 21:52 from fqfx - click to readThe Siemens SX1 is a GSM mobile phone running version 1.2 of the Series 60 platform for the Symbian OS. It is the first such smartphone from the German phone manufacturer Siemens AG following their licensing agreement with Nokia for the use and development of Series 60. Though unveiled in February 2003 it launched only in December of that year.

Your FACT is so NOT TRUE!

"peek" - to take a quick, somewhat stealthy look at (as in this case)
"peak" - the very top of something (as of a mountain)

English. Please use it properly! :--]

But the day Nokia started doing what every other company is doing, nobody, I repeat NOBODY will ever touch samsung. Because Nokia's hardware + Android + Pureview technology + Nokia Rich Recording + breathtaking design will be too irresistible for everyone. But, sorry to say, Android doesn't fall in the elite league of Nokia and we, the true nokians, understand that. We would rather see a dying nokia rather than encouraging them to embrace such a disgrace. Justin's Beiber popularity doesn't make him the best singer and Luciano Pavarotti's death doesn't make him the less singer. So is the case of Nokia. Not popular but still classic :)

> In reply to TheMan @ 2012-05-06 21:52 from fqfx - click to readObviously you didn't know about math and you don't know about OSs as well. Android is a cheap and shadowed imitation of Maemo5 which was Nokia's project. Symbian Belle and upcoming versions are inspired from Maemo5 and MeeGo (refined form of Maemo5). So actually it's not Nokia who is copying, Nokia is simply working on their age old projects. It's actually your dear android that copied Maemo5.
And as for Samsung, it's nothing without Android. Everybody knows that.

People can pretend that nokia can perform better than iPhone and Samsung high end droids (eg nexus, s2/s3).

Truth is that actually impossible now given the current level of optimisation in iOS and Android from browsing to games.

There may have been a point where optimised symbian phones could compete but thats not going to happen now.

Oh and the lag on droid in main menu was due to the CPUs doing the bulk of the visual computing. try a high end droid with ICS which utilises the GPU for main menu and not just games and HTML5 code.
