I found this insightful, although it's more helpful to see this kind of data on a global scale. A bigger picture is painted on Mobile Stats
showing global stats.

Or maybe they mean that 50.9% of all women and respectively 50.1% of all men in the US have smartphones.

please correct the number of percentage for smartphone users of men and women, as u said women 50.9% and men 50.1%, It shows 101%, may be the women's percentage figure is mistaken or men.

They are saying it is 50.1% of all male and 50.9% of all females. Not the way you see it as 101%.

At least Neilsen is clear about this. It is the OS that has been in the statistics and not handset per manufacturer.

Lol. Windows phone is poised to grow. If not today but will certainly in next three years. Look at android, it was launched back in 2007 and had to fight itself for almost three years and the competition was less that time. So wp will take time but surely grow at the expense of ios if not android.

Android still pushing phones just to hold the number 1 position,thats something that i dislike cuz de OS gets extreme overused by half of smartphones on the world but anyway i still love android!! :)
