Is this article correct? Elsewhere it's been reported that its the green subpixels that degrade faster, not the blue. This is potentially important for users in deciding whether to use blue or green themes on their screens.

SuperAmoled is RGBG?
Or is it RG?
Or even BG?
Confused?
7... moreNo actually.
First off it's HD. Some screens have more sub pixels some have less. No matter what they are the resolution they are.
If we wen by your theory then are phone screens are crap seeing tv's are usually using at least 6 sub pixels. Some are even using 32. that's just the start of it all.
At 306 PPI the screen is still very sharp and beautiful. With Super Amoled it's still stunning.

What if we already have seen it,
what if we already own one,
what if we didn't get impressed.
Something is missing.
Doesn't feel right somehow.
Missing my third subpixel.
Life would be better with it.
why Nokia didn't explain this when they released n9 and lumias?
Its really cool now that galaxy got a competition.

720x1280=921600 pixels
To make each pixel any color, every pixel need atleast 3 subpixels.
PenTile only have 2 subpixels per pixel.
It uses the high density of the screen to fool you.
Several pixels work together to make it look like it should.
It's like selling a 3 core processor with 2 cores.
Should say, resolution is 720x1280, interpolated, DuoTile Matrix.
As screen doesn't use 2764800 sub pixels,
it only use 1843200 sub pixels.
And by interpolation reached this high resolution.
RGB is the only way.
Or if it oly was RGBG.
Or even RGBGR with 5 subpixels, true PenTile.
To make it even worse,
Pen stands for Penta, which is five.
So this PenTile Display actually lost 60% of it's sub pixels.
Answer to the question, "Why PenTile Matrix?" is;
It's cheaper to make it this way.
How can something last longer if it's only fewer of them.
If a blue Oled last 14000 hours to reach half brighness,
it will still last 14000 hours if you have 2/3 of them.
14000 hours is still 6 and a half hour of use a day, for 6 years.
[deleted post]A quick LMAO. Followed by the traditional "Let's wait and see what screen the new iPhone will have."

It doesn't make any sense! if the blue pixels go first, then it should have more to begin with not less.
And between the two displays: super Amoled and super amoled plus.
Last year the 'plus' was the best, this year it's the other way around!?
Super Omaled is a joke, the phone is not even release Sammy made it clear it build to last...WTF
Get this in brain,ur gona need it
