Well done Samsung.. For a company that helps innovate the mobile technology, they really deserve it! Can we say Innovators? They produce their own processor & chipset (Exynos Quad core 4412 & soon to be Exynos 5250), screen display (HD SAMOLED & soon to be HD+), as well as RAM (1GB, they start producing 2GB as well as 4GB for 2012 and 2013)& Flash memory & many others, i will not be surprised if they start producing their own GPU insted of ARM's Mali GPU on their flagship phone.. No other company has done that! lol :)

i am not a fan of samsung but also i don't hate it.
feel sometimes that some companies pay money for retailers or websites or reviewers to praise one company product and to bash competitor product.
and also pay for some websites to put light on the company news and to hide other news.
i hope gsmarena won't be from these sites.
and i wonder this site hasn't put any light or updated pictures on the new sony gx and sx.
aren't they good phones and even haven't considered to post these phones in their categories even if it is now for japan as you always did for other companies.
hope that gsmarena isn't biased website
thanks

> In reply to GDT @ 2012-05-18 21:03 from vI7% - click to readI'd only buy a Vertu phone if I was an annoying pleb with too much money and no taste who wanted to say to the world "Look everyone,I really am an annoying pleb with too much money and no taste".
This whole hype thing is nothing new whether or not the 9 million pre-order figure is true or not.It was done back in the 1960s with Beatles(and others)record sales figures and isn't exactly a crime.Even if the figure has been "massaged" a bit,it just goes to prove that even Samsung can out-Apple the mighty Apple themselves.

S3 is good because it is a combination of many features, hardware and software and expandable memory and replaceable battery and Glonass plus a-gps and...!

I'm tired of reading gsm arena lately when all you hear is all the hocus pocus crap about Samsung only. First of all, selling 9 millions preorders is fake with no credible source but yet gsm make a big deal about it. Samsung is the biggest weasel in the market when they try to manipulate sales vs shipped products making it seem bigger then what they are really are. I don't believe this for a second and Gsm is starting to be a website posting tabloids for hits with nothing meaningful.

> In reply to DAVe^^ @ 2012-05-18 19:02 from iIR0 - click to readwhy you people ignoring the new competitors, you people don't make any comments about the htc one s, one x, maizu quad core etc that beats the gs3...I said that the devices with lower specs beats the gs3, then what is the importance of this device. htc one x has the gorgeous display, one s has the better processor cores, xperia s and iPhone 4s has got the better camera. but gs3 has the powerful memory capacity. I dont see much features in gs3, and some people are amazed when they see lot of features, then every manufacturer can cheat the people, like a adding a new function when you switch the camera button the MP3 player will start automatically,,,,hahaha is that a cool feature....I said that gs3 is not the best, but it is one of the best,....along with other beasts...and it's not even a smartphone king, if so, why the 4 Times powerful king / quad-core is defeated by the dual-cores...

it goes without saying that since HTC failed to deliver with both HTC One S and One X, with multiple problems on their handsets, manufacturing and software issues, that helped samsung to get on the job!. After i returned 3 HTC one S black ceramic phones for an eventual refund, i have preordered my SGS3 and cant wait!!

Galaxy SIII is not a smartphone but smartest phone. Those who hate this phone simply go away and comment in their Apple or Sony or whatever page. Only lover of Galaxy SIII do comment here.

I still LOVE my sgs2 after 8 or so month of using it. In all the years I have used a celphone (from Nokia 3210 1999)I lose interest in about a month. But this beast (sgs2) is just freakn awesome. However, looking at the sgs3, I am tempted to UPGRADE!

> In reply to Cool Story Bro @ 2012-05-18 19:09 from NqXr - click to readVery untrue comment: iPhone sold in 7 countries with USA counting for 50% of global sales, Galaxy S3 does not include USA that means that iPhone sold over a bigger pie. Number of countres is not relevant at all! Is not the same selling in USA than selling in Greece (all respect to Greece).
