hey can any1 temme...the sgs2 that ships with ics in india is i9100 or i9100G.coz i am well aware ith the performance issues of G version

Dear All, Leave your worries behind. As m from India, and on 26th May I bought New Samsung Galaxy SII(White) which is of May 2012 manufacturing. I am amazed to see the updated Android OS 4.0.3 with all new features in it..

I can confirm this news. Yesterday, i came across a brand new GS2 with ICS, in a Samsung store here in PUNE(INDIA). Model was i9100 (:

man, the ICS update sucks! its basically gingerbread with a different theme. the only new thing i found personally (haven't checked the whole phone yet) was the new way you can swipe away the running apps and the S Note for the Galaxy Note. other than that the update is pretty much useless!

I agree...at first, i like samsung's electronics that I have samsung tv, tab 10.1, and now galaxy s2... From now on, I will never buy their stuffs anymore after wait too long to release update for their devices. Samsung will lose all of customers in the future. Samsung is SUCK.

With 2.3.6 waiting desperately for 4.0.3

I recently update my s2 to ICS ,but its WI-FI doesnt work with iranian simcart.but it works good with other countries simcart.
i update it with kies.
samsung do somthing for this problem

I had to do the OTA update because the Kies update kept failing. MTN got the update the same day and Vodacom users could update on Thursday already.

If you buy samsung for the update then you really need brains,you buy the smartphone for the functionality if you ALWAYS want updates to the lastest software get an iphone,end story.
