*sniff* I have a silver one. Feel sorry for me. LOL!Enjoying this phone far longer is far greater than waiting n paying more for a plastic casing change! If the black came first n silver later, peeps would still praise the new color just like the white W810 n silver Prada. I'd only get ticked if it was a real hardware upgrade, not just a superficial one.

the silver edition looks so much better..the black edition has a cheeper aspect and looks like n73...my opinion

Just swap the housing. People have been doing it for years. Whoever says you have to buy a new phone to get black is just a newbie and probably works at the local mall or grocery store.
I'm actually going to make a hybrid version and keep the cocoa colored ring around the phone. Will look nice next to the black.

as usual overpriced and oversized, CRAP as most of nokia's. my sister owe 6500slide, looks good but this phone is nightmare, i'd never replaced my D900 with this 6500

are there any rumors about the upcoming n82 black version? is it an upgraded version of the previous n82? or is it just the color of the casing (black)? Hope it will have a bigger & brighter screen, better sound & better video recorder. The n82 classic's audio is really POOR... Hope they will make the adjustments. :-)

HOW are they going to sell this vs iphone which costs $499.00
Simple:
a. N82 is unlocked
b. it has a 5 megapixel cam w/ real flash
c. a pile of 3rd party apps available
d. more sophisticated operating system for people with higher level of intellect
e. it can spell GPS, HSDPA, EDGE
f. any techie would choose this powerhouse over a smudgescreen iphone; believe me, several older symbian 60 phones will beat the iphone by many points
g. if you study the sales of the iphone, it tends to be highest in markets where people have inexperienced taste for phones and people easily convinced by hype and ads.
