I personally would prefer a smaller MP count, if it means a better low light sensor

Do not need 4K video!!

Give me 720p Super-Slow motion and I'll be happy, I guess it should be possible.

Even less rez, I wouldn't mind!

It would be good to see these being used in conjunction with Super High definition screens when they are fully R&D'd and proper Quad cores (probably on the second generation of quads) but this development will probably be some time away.

Meh, 1080p will have to do for the time being. *sigh*

To person below your right,if a quadcore chip @1.4GHz and Mali 400 cant preccess this camera sensor then what will..I mean if this is going into digicams as well can we expect fans/heatsinks in cameras to cool the chips on baord. What will happen is a companion proccessor will probably sit alonside the sensor chip just like on Nokia 808 PureView..

for a person that do not know much it will be LIKE crazy over it

Those that know will tell you 1/2.3 come on the nokia n8 2 years old is already 1/1.83

and nokia pureview 808 is 1/1.2

What are you going to do with a 3840 x 2160 video at 30fps?
Even a 128GB version of a phone will lack space from a video of that caliber.

If they make good camera sensors they would make their own compact cameras.
Sony`s sensors are by far better.
1/2.3 immage sensor is still smaller than the nokias n8 and not miles near the Nokia`s 808 PureView.
Full hd with 60frames sounds nice.
Nice but nothing spectacular. :)

Is there anyone else aside from me who thinks that OmniVision is possibly Nokia's "secret" co-developer of the companion chip? :)

videos of this resolution will also require a lot of memory to store which is also a drawback

4K2K (3840 x 2160, four times the resolution of 1080p) video at 60fps.

I think this ^^ is not correct
1080P is 2K because its 1920 x 1080
where as 3840 x 2160 = 4K which means twice the resolution of 1080P and Yes to attain this we need four screens of 1080P

Now I can forget the Red EPIC and all related hassle and buy a phone and a lens adapter and make commercials and short movies :)
