nokia looks just like an idiot.they should have released belle instead of ^3.going to WP is another mistake.symbian belle is awesome and can beat the androids under 4.and the symbian in the air service video is even better than android 4.check that out.

I've been using Symbian forever and I think it is a shame that Nokia is wasting their hardware with WP. My four years Nokia 5800 with Symbian can do things that Nokia's "newest" devices based in WP can't. I can share my file through BT and increased my phone storage to 16 GB. I was about to change to Android (Samsung Ace Plus) when I heard of Nokia 805, which supposedly is a belle device. So, I'll wait a little to see how it goes before making the jump.

if belle will die, they should have made pureview 808 into Lumia 1000... hahaha... this news is really making me want to sell my N8 already... belle is so disgusting!

I knew that Symbian^3 is dead since time when Telexy refused to support any new phones from Nokia. Pretty much the same with many other software developers. Nokia is killing themselves with very own hand.

I think it is pretty sad that people are misled to believe that smartphones belong in the "cloud". That Symbian Belle isn't a smartphone. It is. I know I'll probably get flamed here. Symbian is the OS where your data is not stored in the cloud. You think that data is yours once it's uploaded to the cloud? Think again, it's not yours. Try getting to it if your account is suspended for whatever reason or the company gets bought out or shut down for whatever reason. That is exactly where we are heading to. You can have your android, ios, or wp and their assorted "cloud" services.. I'll stick to the OS that truly give it's users control over their own data. That OS is Symbian.

whether true or not,i strongly feel the initial annoucement by the management about quiting symbian was a major mistake.why culdnt they just keep their mouths shot until they were 100% sure there was no way out. They also were rather too slow to recognise that the symbian ui needed to be these stories.i also feel that nokia should take such rumours seriously as its bad publicity...and if its true then let us know officialy as usual. And if u guyz are still confused, then give ur customers a chance to help u decide...

> In reply to [deleted post]So you replace an O/S upgrade with a feature pack update and try to pass it off as an O/S upgrade and hope we won't notice. To say something is essentially the same clearly shows it is not exactly the same. So if the FP is coming and Carla is not then the assertion is correct. Simple as that. Sorry but we are not that stupid. Then again we are talking a company that decided to parther with a software manufacturer that thinks coming 3rd is being successful.

Face it, Symbian is dead long before Windows Phone. Windows Phone is much better with better user experience than that clunky old Symbian.
