and after this they expect that ppl will buy the Xperia Play 2 if it will be release
Sony u just lost a customer
It's not a big surprise thoug.
Xperia Play already begined his life with a shoot in the foot. In the year of dualcore phones Sony(an something Ericsson) released the mighty phone with single core processor. And the camera, the 5mp camera with initially VGA recording was a killer feature coupled with the 400mb internal memory.
what About the sony ericsson LIVE with walkman ?!?!?!?!?!??!??!?!?????!???????'???%'
but how desire c or one v have ics ? or Xperia neo L with same processor ? maybe because almost low internal memory (i think 400mb) .
Maybe is better for this phone to run old android because i have Arc s and with ICS its slower, and discharge the battery faster.
Sonythetop, 25 May 2012Gsmarena! Maybe You are wrong, Because My friend is holding Xperia Play and It's running ICS. ... morethe ics running on your friends phone is ICS BETA ROM.so it still has lots of bugs and its not yet ready for everyday use,but you can still download beta version if you are ready to take the risk.
Excuse me ! Would u mind telling me the reasons why Sony removes xperia play from ICS update list ? I just want to know the reasons because I'm using this model.
My Sony Xperia Ray is also very fast after its updated to Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
A job well done by Sony :-)

ssouske, 25 May 2012i think its more down to them being unable to make ICS work for the play or rather most of the... moreSony is working on android version 4.0.4 for all xperia 2011 (except for play which idk yet) to fix all the bugs on v 4.0.3
Grim news. Let's see if other models quietly get the axe too. Then, it'll only be third-parties like CyanogenMod.
It's funny how Android OEM's had earlier agreed to 18 months of OS updates to user's. And we see the same old trick being applied. This is really leaving a bad taste. The only option that I have is to jailbreak the phone, and i'm a bit vary about the security of the phone once its jailbroken.
i think its more down to them being unable to make ICS work for the play or rather most of the older xperias. I have my Ray upgraded to ICS and its slow. and its not like i haven't tried anything. i did my research and tried whatever i can to make the ray as snappy as it was when it had GB... but it does not work. i think play users would be better off with GB than ICS
Gsmarena! Maybe You are wrong, Because My friend is holding Xperia Play and It's running ICS. It's pretty good after update. The New is Amazing. :) In Cambodia
this phone was a failure!because sony now has PSVITA simply doesn't care for this device. and thats it.
