I have used the Alcatel ot-990 , lost while on a trip to Mumbai, excellent phone huge screen, front camera for sub 9,000 range, only trouble is you have to hunt for these phones in India in the open market, online sites list such phones but then say "out of stock: or "permanently discontinued" even if it is available in the open market, and it seems this company is not interested in marketing their products if you call the Alcatel India number they simply say for any new model, phone is not launched or give you a dealers number who does not bother to pick up, naturally Samsung has a better market share

No one will copy Nokia, unless they want to fail.

both the phones are good looking. Motorola phone looks somewhat similar to Razr XT910 but the Alcatel phone is simple and elegant. I like both the phones.

Alcatel One Touch is a brand of TCL Communication which is really TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited from China. So from that Huawei, Zte, Alcatel One Touch are three fast growing telecomunication companys. I only hope that Alcatel One touch 986 becomes world wide product in near future :)

Looks like Motorola is planning on completely killing the Razr name. Back when it was a clamshell they did their best to murder it by bringing out variation after variation and now they're making an attempt to finish the job. smh a few months from now there will be the Motorola Razr V MAXX. I am getting the xt910 and I'm good with that, at least increase the display size motorola!

And what might Alcatel's reputation be based on gsmarena's knowledge ? last tiem i checked Alcatel is a major ..no wait....ass kicking major manufacturer of telecom equipment...I'ts the the western version of huawey but without the "made in china" tag. It's like been missing from the phone market for a few years now, but in the past they've been making very good phones. Anyway..Alcatel has like 15 billion euros revenue , and huawey has like 23 billion revenue. Both are massive .
