For sales you would need more than one droid due to the fact Iphone is the only one and would sell more. If there was only one Driod or top Droid then it could easily rival or even outsell Iphone.

Unless you are just going to get all upset because you know popularity and sales is the only thing Iphone can win at.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-06-01 19:31 from tR6E - click to readwhy the hell would you even compare the s3 and the 4s?
in 2010: galaxy s vs. iphone 4
2011: s2 vs. 4s
now 2012: s3 vs. ...4s? again?

you cant compare the 4s to the s3. obviuosly, the s3 has better specs than the 4s but thats no surprise since this samsungs greatest at this year. compare the s3 w/ the iphone 5. then i'll be more than happy to listen.

some android fan logic: "hey, lets take the s2 and Note and compare to the iPhone sales!"

what a shame.

> In reply to dave @ 2012-06-02 15:48 from KiwH - click to readthe iPhone definitely dont suck. the 4s still has the best screen out there and its unsurpassed by almost any other android phones.

your just saying that iPhones are dumb because you know that the massive reputation of the iPhone is still strong despite the competition.

the iPhone 4S was the best selling phone last year, not the sg2.

Really happy with sgs2. After 10 months ofbuse, still feels like I have a new phone. There was a time I'd 'master' a phone in a matter of days or weeks. Not the case now. Just way too customizable to get tired of it easily.

" we assume it's going to break quite a few of the company's records itself. "
But not the iPhone

Some 7/8 years back when my friend bought Samsung C100 phone, I thought oh another phone maker trying to compete with Nokia. I never realized Samsung is going to rule the mobile world. Started using Galaxy S2 and now Note, I stopped reading phone reviews of other manufacturers.

Every os is different and has its ups and downs. (Even though android don't seems to have any) ok lets get out of the books and go out into the real, practical world.
These are the facts (at least in india)....

Android: for the people who likes to play with their mobiles all the time. And who likes to show off a lot infront of their friends, trying to let others know that they've an awesome mobile.... like... Hey bro, look, my phone can do this, my phone can do that, my phone has this, my phone has that.
The sad thing about android is... You can never have the latest and greatest Android. There's always a better one. You go smiling to the shop, buy a sg3 and show it to yr friends and the guy that u hate would pop out something better out of his pocket and you'd be like... phus.... :(

Apple: for the people with a status. The best things about iphone is... You don't have to brag about it. Put the phone on the table and everyone goes... Wohoho... that's an IPHONE.
And if u have the latest iphone u don't have to worry about the other guy bringing a better version of iphone for atleast a year. You'll have the latest and greatest.

> In reply to Mhosix @ 2012-06-02 15:50 from K7cT - click to readLG developed the Retina display so they probably hold the rights to it. The A5, like the Exynos, are modified ARM chips with the rights held by Apple and Samsung, respectively. Samsung manufactures the parts but does not own the intellectual property. That's why apple can shop around to have multiple companies build the same parts.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-06-02 15:39 from nTpT - click to readJust imagine Apple as an Architect.. They design & make Retina Display concepts like how it will be looked, how many pixels per inch will be used, the colour reproduction & so on.. After they design it, they will pass it on Samsung (Engineer / Contractor) who will materialize the concept & then manufactures it.. After the production, Apple puts a patent on it.. Retina Display is just a name, it's just advanced LCD Technology with high ppi..
