I have the AT&T version of the One X and unhappy about the Wifi. My phone does not want to stay connected to my home Wifi. When it disconnects from it, it shuts off all data so I'm not getting my emails, text messages, etc, either. Have to turn Wifi off and on to get it to start.

Still within the return period - it's going back.

i have been reading reports from on a few forums its not a software problem with the wifi but a hardware problem where the antenna pins are working loose probably from the expanding/constricting case movement caused by the heat, thus providing very poor reception even standing next to the main router.

hope the patch does work but then maybe all it will do is push up the antenna gain thus draining more power :(

i hope the issue is resolved soon....HTC FTW :)

Got the OTA this morning and installed through. I had it rooted previously and confirmed that after updating the OTA, my phone is unrooted. Not a big deal since I will get it rooted once again later.
Have not had a chance to try Wi-Fi signal and connectivity issue though.
No problems so far.

I bought my HTC One XL in HK. Wifi reception is good within a few feet from the router but after 10 feet or so things get ugly and within 15-20 feet one loses connection. I have an Apple router for my wifi. All other devices hold and maintain a good wifi reception along with speed except my new HTC One XL. Hope they send an update over to Hong Kong as well for the HTC one XL models.

Why only AT&T version gets this update ??? I have Wi-Fi problems with my international version of One X ! Very poor wifi signal very close to n wireless router, latest update installed, checked on few different routers, factory reset already did and nothing helped ! Comon HTC, make this update for international version as well ! My One X is from Orange Poland, no simlock, no branding.

It is my well-considered opinion that the raw deal for HTC is to have a rapid response team to fix bugs as soon as they appear. What would even be better would be for them to do their utmost to avoid having bugs before releasing any model. At the end of the day we are talking about preserving and consolidating a good brand reputation.

Why do HTC phones seem to have so many WiFi issues? Come on HTC, I know you can do better than that.
