with android you can do all things you want.but WP is very close os until now.it need time to be like android and ios.so i don't think IDC say the true thing.it is impossible a good os like android that can be better for comming years and google support it fall down.you can see the android apps and games and quad core cpus support for now.i think WP will be like android 4 on 2016.

WP undoubtly will have a fanbase. But to overtake Android in 2016? I don't think so. Google will respond n besides they are far too many people who love Android. So as for now ANDROID RULES.
