Still I think people will get bored of same black background. I am expecting Microsoft, in windows phone 8, will change its ui. A lumia with atleast wallpaper options will be better than lumias current interface.

Chris Weber, please keep supporting Symbian which is by far the best OS. WP7 is so basic that it do not support background process, etc. Even WP8 is obsolete phone and no sales.
Try to offer Nokia 808 Pureview in USA and you will sale a lot. Running Symbian!!.
Nokia Lumia sales were extremely down, even Amazon is selling lumia at 49 usd as there is no interest on that phone running WP. Nokia offer 2 million lumias FREE of charge, so stockholders are happy??? Lumia sales are only FREE of charge Lumias.

pure view is somethng Nokia should brag about but the resolution is just stone age to even compare with iphone,HTC, and samsung.they shud be the first to use USB 3.0 Before iphone 5 launch to counter iphone's suprise specs

Call me old-fashioned...

But certainly in the olden days Windows phones were more than just a little bit stuffy (pre-Metro days) - and were considered, probably like Blackberry now as "phones for work"...

Of course that's changed a lot... but I can't help shake the feeling with Windows mobile and metro that it's still less 'fun' and more 'work'... or 'functional'...
Which in its current format does appeal to a good audience..

Now I don't know if you've all seen the prototype (pinch of salt) Lumia Pureview - the bright neon colours and wacky size / design... I assume that the handsets will have to be a good deal chunkier to accommodate a decent sensor and all the workings behind it...

Which in turn may appeal less to the market that Windows phones appeal to?

I love the idea of Lumia+Pureview - it gives the OS a 'killer feature' - no other OS can say "come to us because with us you'll get x, y and z - not available anywhere else..." because Android and iOS are fairly similar in what they offer... how important people see cameras in phones is questionable...

2013 will be make or break for Nokia - if Pureview+Lumia doesn't sell - they're dead, they won't have another year to make this up. I say it's 50/50 at the moment...

hmmm only if nokia can bring more smoothness in belle, symbian will bounce back.. D s##troids dnt have dat tendency to carry evwn the n8 12mp sensor.. Evwn sony,s 12 mp stands nowhere near to n8, d only contender is now 808. N winmo is very smooth but lots f r n d needs to be done to compress d physical camera module, and body.. D only place where 808 lags behind is d built(read little thickness). Dere winmo leaps ahead.. If u add the transistiin affect of jinhao u will see how beautiful and fast symbian goes( check the affects on youtube ).. If people wudnt have loved symbian nobdy vud have bothered to work freely or that not ven developers... D only dumb thing elope has done is not to market symbian,,, now many advt dou see for 808 pureview??? Close to none... Sammy also does lot of advt(d only point is not their cellphn but android and its market), whereas nokia advertises more of its phone......if p.v cmes in windows de it will b great,, but only symbian can carry the torch for nokia
