Expensive phone, but with a philanthropic's heart. Love the idea of donating a portion of sales to a worthy cause. If luxury phone makers did more of this, I think we'd see less grumbling about their prices. Sure, only a small portion of the economy can afford this, and with the melt down currently in the Euro zone... an even smaller portion than usual. Still, for those that can, you get a cool looking phone, and you can feel a bit smug when your friends say, "You spent how much for a phone?" Just tell them, it's OK, it was for charity. ;)

Stick with your out of date expensive toy, i'd rather take the so called 'plastic' flexibility knowing I'll get my money's worth from the performance and from a decent up to date OS that's already been given an OTA update than from a dinosaur like Belle with no promise of an update. Stop kidding yourself about Nokia and WP7, you are in the minority and the sales figures would seem to agree that going hiring Elop, an MS agent, was the first mistake. The second was going on an OS that has yet to prove itself, WP8 will be pretty much their last gamble.

Whilst the cause is noble to help sick children, only the few with deep pockets and no idea about OS's can keep this one, more money than brains but at least for a worthy cause.

I actually like the design of this device and Belle is good. Not bad Vertu.
Most people don't realize that you get Free Concierge (Forgot how to spell it) service for life with the vertu line of phones. I wouldn't mind getting my own private room at a hotel for free. Or using the special VIP section free of charge.
I need to read the complete article to see how much this device costs. I know it's up there.

That's a novel way to sell those hideous looking and over priced cell phones. Cheap marketing gimmick.

The design may not be the best, but the idea behind it is good.
