LG Viewty for a start is Touchscreen and has no Keypad LOL!
so it cant win...
N95 8GB ..only has 8GB and lack of Lense Cover for the 5MP CAMERA!
So it cant win!
SE W910i has a good enough camera lense cover..on it ..and memory card slot ..and Stable Java OS ..platform........
thats why it won..but then there is alot of reasons why it won!

proff that every 1 hates lg, i would have understood d iphone, n95 8GB, before d viewty, but not that se rubbish! LG Viewty should have 1.

1. The operator logo is in the centre and it shoud be aside or it
should have the hide option
2.Date and time should have the hide option.

How can they compare phones with such diverse feature sets and form factors? The Nokia 6500 Clasic is just a plain bar phone. Vierty is special. I don't like it, but is special. The Nokia 6500S and the SE 910 cost the same, but the 6500s has much better sound quality and 3.2Mpix autofocus. Heck... compare the Nokia 5610 (which is a cheaper, youth-oriented varient of the 6500s with all the same features) and you get a MUCH better camera phone, and a much better music phone in a slide form-factor.

superb all rounder???haha...make me laugh..even the 2mp cam its outdated...even among SE phone, there still a lot better phone..
although im SE Fanboy (my previous most of it is SE) but to award the best phone n superb all-rounder for this overprice phone totally hilarious...

Irrelevant awards... Just like when you see those countless "Car of the year" awards, each one of them picking a different car, and (most of the time) a car that is nothing special. Products that deserve to be called "best of the year" should be very innovative, be it design, functionality, or both. Picking a phone like the W910i, which is just a middle-class, slightly overpriced phone, as "No. 1" is outrageously subjective. For its time, the K800i deserved the no. 1 spot because it was very functional and it also pushed things forward in the imaging department with a great 3.2 MP camera with xenon flash. In my opinion, this year, out of all the nominees, the only truly interesting phone was the LG Viewty, but it seems that in the eyes of the judges, the W910i was better. Better?? How?? On what grounds??

We all know that it is failure in terms of sales. Nokia has sold more than 6 millions N95, samsung about 2 millions of G600, and SE just around 0,1 millions of W910i :) Oh yes, that's the best handset!

Nokia cant win any of these awards until they get the Problems and drawbacks in their phones get it ?
SE W910i won straight away...becuase its Stable Java OS and the Quality is all there in terms of Multimedia Walkman/Camera/Design/User friendlyness/Multimedia

its not always Nokia you know...just becuase there the best selling....LOOL thats not a good enough reason.....haha

The S.E. W910i is the WORST phone ever! I sold 15 pieces of this phone and EVERY phone came back with different kind of problems. And the phone is way to expensive for only a 2MP camera.

Nokia can't win until they make a single phone that's not ugly. I was choosing between the W910 and NXX and I chose the SE just because the Nokia looks boring even though the SE lacks in some features.

the decision was very very disapointing..and it was not taken serious.the judge is also a Sony Ericsson fan thats why...Its not Justics.....Nokia is the Worlds Leading Mobile Phone Compant Since 10 Years or may be more....See the Review at GSMArena the comparison of K850 and N95 8GB who won.Definiatly NOKIA because its the Best Mobile Phone Manufacture in the World...SE is a kid in front of NOKIA...SE has No Symbian OS

why not k850i or n82 or viewty....
who on earth nominated the other s h i t like fones for the worlds best fones of 2007. obviously w910 was way ahead.
but the point is, why not k850 vs n82 vs viewty....thats what i would have called competition.
