Anonymous, 24 Jun 2012Copying apple in every way LOL. A really stupid comment as they've never copied anything else Apple have ever done.
This will be just a one off blip in an otherwise successful Fone for long.............
Love my white samsung s3 i havent had not one issue..
Best phone on the market
was thinking to buy this phone hasnt arrived in canada yet , but after reading all comments i have changed my mind like every 6th user is complaining about heating . iam waiting for b berry
At least it wasn't related to the battery. In the pictures the battery looks untouched.
The pictures are a little surprising sight. One hardly believes that there is a fire risk at such low voltages (as 3-4V).
The remedy would be to enforce the connector and make sure that the material next to the connector is heat and fire resistant. Some cooling fin or heat conducting material next to the connector would make sure such a thing would never happen.
I think the measure above are necessary because sometimes this scenario is unavoidable. The plug of the power cord and the power connector on the phone may have top notch quality. But if a small piece of plastic or other dirt gets wedged between one of the pins of the connector and the plug in such a way that we have a small resistance, development of heat will be inevitable.
So the best way is to design the connectors to take the heat or at least monitor the voltage of the power supply and give a warning if the voltage has weakened due to loose connection of the power cord. The former option would be preferable and more user friendly than the warning though.
Dear Iphone lovers
iphone exploded too.there is more problems with iphone than samsung.
i have the siii, and i have no over heating problems
advice.. charge ur phone on a flat surface not one that doesnt allow the phone to breath.. most phones heat on charge
there were actually 3 S3's that exploded before and Samsung deliberately denied it and they said it was pressure from the back pocket, and all those lame excuses.
CoolIAM, 23 Jun 2012When so many IPhone exploded, it was not a news. Only one S3 out of millions exploded, it is a... moreand who said you there were no news when iPhone exploded...check your facts before posting..there was a bigger fuss than this and all you samsung fanboys deliberately bashing iPhone, do you see many Apple fanboys doing the same here??
