Symbian is actually capable of fastly improving itself. Symbian foundation should find a way to prolong it's existance under this circumstances. They must try to survive and could follow Jolla's move, for example.

They cannot solely depend on the Nokia's present Management. Why not Symbian work hard.

Nokia has been sleeping with there Symbian, but at this moment with the renewed Symbian Belle the OS is very compelling. I have a Nokia 701, an ipad. The Symbian is as easy in use as the iOS but has far more possibilities. (iOS: not able to BT a file, how to upload music files?, how to facebook a photo directly from the photoviewer, the arrowkeys, not multitasking, battery consuming, worse camera, no recents in the photo viewer, etc.) Even the app store of Symbian is better than the overhypes apple store. Lets hope Elop gets fired an we get the Symbian back including marketing efforts.

When Nokia used GPU, Android was still in its fathers @@. DAMN!!!
And YES, Symbian phones (N8, C7, C6, X7, etc) all have GPU that could actually handle Dungeon hunter 2, Asphalt 6 etc.

if nokia will put a quad core or even a dual core processor in its symbian phones... it'll knock out all other devices...

> In reply to James Hunt @ 2012-07-03 08:56 from 7txE - click to readI already answered to you, but it seems this video was actually made using Belle running on RDA device. RDA means Remote Device Access. It's a internet service offered by Nokia. So Belle is running on real device, but the device is accessed over network using system like the remote desktop clients on PC.

The lag on video IS caused by the way how the device was accessed and how video was made. That video tells nothing about speed of Belle. RDA access is quite slow, especially when RDA is used over internet. It is meanr for the testing apps on remote devices, not for the everyday use. Anyway it's wery good service for testing your apps on device which you don't have.

Belle runs really nicely on older devices like Nokia N8, and it runs even muvh better on new devices like Nokia 701 and Nokia 808 PureView.
