Symbian is actually capable of fastly improving itself. Symbian foundation should find a way to prolong it's existance under this circumstances. They must try to survive and could follow Jolla's move, for example.
They cannot solely depend on the Nokia's present Management. Why not Symbian work hard.
i m currently using belly feature pack 1 in ma nokia 701 and its quite smother den the prev version of belle,,,soo i hope belle's next version would be more better,,,...jst expecting dat it would be released soon and would work in ma handset....
Nokia has been sleeping with there Symbian, but at this moment with the renewed Symbian Belle the OS is very compelling. I have a Nokia 701, an ipad. The Symbian is as easy in use as the iOS but has far more possibilities. (iOS: not able to BT a file, how to upload music files?, how to facebook a photo directly from the photoviewer, the arrowkeys, not multitasking, battery consuming, worse camera, no recents in the photo viewer, etc.) Even the app store of Symbian is better than the overhypes apple store. Lets hope Elop gets fired an we get the Symbian back including marketing efforts.
rocks nokia ,the best OS yet, more completly and whit more innovations thah others dónt have untill now
Syambian's back only necessary things
1) full flash support
2)Store should get free unlimited goodies
3)Stable local apps result Droids and ios will cry for their mommy
bill, 02 Jul 2012Symbian users changed their systems because of the crappy 400mhz Cpu + 128mb RAM + no GPU.Really. I was going through comments here from ignorant ppl that insist on what they say, but when I fell on to your comment, I couldnt hold myself but reply!
When Nokia used GPU, Android was still in its fathers @@. DAMN!!!
And YES, Symbian phones (N8, C7, C6, X7, etc) all have GPU that could actually handle Dungeon hunter 2, Asphalt 6 etc.

if nokia will put a quad core or even a dual core processor in its symbian phones... it'll knock out all other devices...

It's a internet service offered by Nokia. So Belle is running on real device, but the device is accessed over network using system like the remote desktop clients on PC.
The lag on video IS caused by the way how the device was accessed and how video was made. That video tells nothing about speed of Belle. RDA access is quite slow, especially when RDA is used over internet. It is meanr for the testing apps on remote devices, not for the everyday use. Anyway it's wery good service for testing your apps on device which you don't have.
Belle runs really nicely on older devices like Nokia N8, and it runs even muvh better on new devices like Nokia 701 and Nokia 808 PureView.

no belle pack 2 for my nokia n8:(,think i'll be going galaxy s3 rather, bigger future...
Som, 02 Jul 2012To all fandroids: If symbian is such a crappy, dead os then why r u bothered to comment here. ... morei have used that waste android os for more than 1 year. Its is crap. Its a battery killer man. First of all a mobile must have better life. The phones running android does not a better battery life compared to symbian. Now i have bought nokia 603 with symbian belle. This phone awesome.

With features like multiple homescreen, flat menu no folders, rounded icon, notification bar , widjets etc. Önly full flash support is missing.
So, this is the new symbian. It does look like badly lagging android. Hmpfh.. Nokia is totally wasted.
