That's good Nokia, doggedness doesn't pay. Just jump on board because we still respect your quality phones.

Considering i stopped buying nokia because of the OS and that I had a Samsung before and now a HTC not because they are Samsung or htc but rather that they are android, I'm all for this backup plan.
Give me a pureview clearback droid, Nokia and you will have my money with question.
Also, do work with the ecosystem, give updates frequently and give devs something to like. It's a good way to boost popularity.
I am totally hoping that they have to put this back up plan into action. Also, considering Microsoft's moves with surface, it's now a question of how much Nokia can trust Microsoft as Microsoft can decide to make their own phone and ditch Nokia....

as a long long time Nokia user - truly since the first gsm phones - I can say that the N8 was such a dissapointment for me, even with belle and everything that I was looking to quit Nokia alltogether for the long run - especially since I have an android phone as well- I truly hope that it will be so, to put it back on the market.
The WP phones are good, but nowhere near as good as they should be - Microsoft got a sweet deal with nokia when they infected the Nokia phones, but unfortunately they will not get anywhere near the android and iOS simplicity....
Every Nokia user out there should write an email to Nokia to turn the tide in this direction - I am surprised I never saw any such iniciative from users..
And Nokia - just to open a website to be able to register Nokia users that would be interested in owning a android Nokia - those numbers would be interesting to see, even for that CEO of theirs that came to the board from Microsfot....

Nokia will never gain what they have lost in these years,
If they will put some devices now on market with android, it wount help, cos they dont have quad core CPU and ill never go backwards from technology i have now. It just makes no sense.
Nokai is sinking ship and let them sink in piece.

They never really said which is the backup plan, people are just speculating with Android. Probably will be something based on Qt it makes more sense.
