I'm from Lebanon and I was able to get the update via OTA. wow jelly beans is really fast I did not expected that. people there is a method that will ensure u get it via ota just try it few times it really work. go to system settings - apps - all(scroll left to see it) - Google services framework - delete data - force stop - then go to system settings - about - software update and check now - repeat until it works

i manually updated it on my nesus s i am from pakistan (jhelum) i think nexus s now doesn't support play movies,magazines,books now

Got the OTA i9020A in Israel.
First impression, indeed buttery smooth, although a bit laggy as ICS in opening apps.
Device gets extremely hot when using voice search feature!
