I've read that the removal of universal search was a mistake on Samsung's part and will be re-added in a patch in the next few days

The move by Samsung is genious. The phone is not preset for universal search, so Apple has to shut up, but by clicking on the boxes you select where to search. so in esence, it's not the manufacturer who makes the universal search, but the user. Love it!!!

> In reply to Someone @ 2012-07-26 11:50 from Mx@E - click to readexactly, Apple is selling much but Samsung's selling is more than Apple. Once Apple had tried dealing with LG but LG denied saying we can't manufacture as our plant is busy and can't handle it. Apple returned back to Samsung.
Means Samsung have the largest plant to manufacture and supply.

You all know that iPhone's, iPad's and iPod Touches sell millions and millions of units all over the world?? They are all so successful.

Why would Samsung Semiconductor stop supplying parts for these??

It's got to be one of the largest supply contracts Samsung Semiconductor's have ever had.

Remember that Apple is one of Samsung's biggest customers and always pay cash up front. You can't say no to that very easily - which is why Samsung still supply them.

You lot are all not thinking correct.

Apple is the best customer ANY semiconductor business can have in the world.

Why?

Because Apple have the money and Apple pay CASH IN ADVANCE.

You think any of Samsung Semiconductor customers are as rich or reliable as Apple when it comes to buying parts???

There is no way on earth that Samsung would turn down or stop supplying Apple with components.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-07-26 08:56 from IaHY - click to readSamsung can't do this as they are businessman. This is not a childish game. Business just sees money rather than feelings. If Samsung stops supplying then Apple will seek another manufacturer. It is also fact that Apple will never get manufacturer like Samsung.

Suing over infringements and legal BS should be overlooked as petty childs play. "men from the boys etc"
Grow up apple - good product but samsung is better overall...
I personally use the Xperia S and you never see Sony in these news reports.

Samsung should suddently stop supplying Apple with all the components they currently supply for the iPhone.

Apple would be stuffed for many many months without this!
