And here I thought they got some guts back to do something awesome. But yet again only the same old washed out ancient technology they always try to look new. I really hoped this would be a krait quod core and really looked forward to their revival and myself moving back to Sony phones. But it seems even with Ericsson gone, they are still a washed out, have been company. If you quality today Samsung, Apple and HTC are the only ones running the race. Shame on you Sony. Stop sucking please.

I have used 4.3" for a year, I think I will go with 4.7" - 5.5" next.

Boring, Sony :(

COME ON! look at the picture in which sgs3 and Mint placed side by side, it's obvious that the screen is 4.6" not 4.3".

The writer of the source article is anti-Sony. He takes the benchmarks on the Mint_I clocking the phone at 1 GHz. At least the AnTuTu benchmark

> In reply to dirkdiggler @ 2012-07-27 06:54 from PSvX - click to readI totally agree with that. Let's shake hand XD Always love sony's product. They got excellent sense in making their product and make people like me fall in love with it and it's brand as well~ Always feel the pride carrying a sony product~ just love to peek at the logo once a while XD

The new mint seems pretty good. it would satisfy alot people who want ion but doesn't like it with S3 processor. I still went for ion cause it looks just awesome!!S3 is good enough for me. I'm not that hardcore phone user so i dont care that much. Mint looks good as well tho it kinda looks like another brand's phone design and loses sony's personality. Hope they will have another new awesome design like ion.

Sony only sell overpriced nicely designed gadget, that is their main target consumers. In terms of specs maybe not top notch and never will. The fact is people will still buy because its a Sony.....just like those who love Justin Bieber, whatever songs (good/bad/worse/shitty) came out from his mouth people will still listen to the crappy music and buy his CD.

... why are some people hurt when sony ought to be flagship phones releases? I don't understand the need to compare a flagship from another company with 4 cores against sony's 2 core phone. If you do believe that your phone is superior then there is no need to insult others and say that is no good.

Hardware specs are always a good basis for raw performance and that is the basic for understanding if a phone is good or bad; But in reality, it is the blending of both software and hardware that matters, a poor software running on a quadcore can be beaten anytime by an optimized software running on a dualcore, that is what most people do not understand and that is actually what most companies who are only after the "sales" abuse, however sony is different for that matter, their team understood that the software "android" is not yet mature enough to handle quad cores properly, and if you "google" enough, you will find a discussion of IBM about android's inability to handle multiple cores properly...
So what's the use of putting quad core, sales... nothing more nothing less, In terms of performance it will not be leaps and bounds against a dual core phone, it will not be heaven and earth against a single core phone and you can bet that this will be the case until android is further optimized along with its list of apps which in most cases are developed without consideration of the number of cores it will run to...

But nowadays in most cases its all about bragging rights... so yeah most people will buy the latest flagship quad core phones and ignore the latest flagship dual core phones...

Even if everything on the preview turns out to be true, I would still buy this phone. Love is truly blind. It's something that other brand users won't ever understand. Thus the insecurities and bashing. They just don't get it. Pity.

Ha ha. Why are you saying price is too high. we know very well that Sony will have worth for money. See Samsung s3 having good hardware but low quality plastic.

did you know Samsung uses plastic that cost about 40$ but Sony using plastic cost about 300$. So price will always high. Sony pls pls don't reduce qquality and reduce price.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-07-26 23:46 from IWam - click to readActually, you are the noob here, the guy @ mobile-review is so notorious that even Nokia was almost sueing him for having previewed too frankly a N8 device before its release..

They also gave a fair preview of the S3, not biased. You should remember what they say, bcz generally most of things turn to be true. It's not like the product will be released only in next January.

> In reply to Chamamen @ 2012-07-26 18:50 from MNuQ - click to readFINALLY someone smart on the interwebs. The most of the people here are just "omfg, no quadcorez, u suk" while they have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA about technology. All they get is a gimmick, but it's good as far as they can brag about it. That's just sad. Really.
